nobody cares if he can't make weight , do you think that the pacquiao team is gonna cancel the fight and leave all those millions of dollars. $3 million dollars for EVERY pound Oscar comes in over the weight limit. They're not exactly leaving millions of dollars. I'm sure the PPV revenue is a big booster, though. But Pacquiao could leave content (I think) if Oscar came in over the weight limit, but I don't think Oscar being such a terrific businessman would leave a HUGE financial opportunity on the table. No way no how! But hell, that is a real fearsome contract clause.

DLH is the consummate professional, he will make weight. The man weighs 149 right now, two pounds is nothing and from reports I have read, he's weighed that for a while now. The key is to get to that weight slowly so it won't affect your stamina or strength. Oscar has been keeping that weight for a while. IIRC oscar was 151 at the weigh in against forbes

I think ODLH cannot make the 147lbs, but the fight will still on, ODLH stamina and power will not last for 5 rounds.

dela Hoya is depending on his power to make the difference in this fight, and fighting Pacquiao 10 to15 lbs heavier would definitely give him that advantage just like in the Gatti fight. But dela Hoya's been bragging that he kept himself at a certain weight level for months even before training camp so the weight loss was supposed to be a lot more gradual and that he trained at a certain weight level that is pretty close to welter 150-155 I think. So even if dela Hoya bleeds himself a wee bit to make weight, I don't think that bloating himself to 160 from weigh-in and fight night would be part of the plan.

he'll probs have to weigh in naked with his trainer holding a towel in front of him or something, didnt he have to do that once?? also i think he will look VERY drained at the weigh in, making 147 will take quite a bit out of oscar i am sure He did that against Trinidad. he'll probs have to weigh in naked with his trainer holding a towel in front of him or something, didnt he have to do that once?? also i think he will look VERY drained at the weigh in, making 147 will take quite a bit out of oscar i am sure i've seen recent pics of oscar and his face looks really skinny. he'll have to weigh in naked like gina carano in her last fight. i think oscar will use a diuretic or something to piss out some extra fluids or maybe get a couple pints of blood removed before the weigh in and then put back in before the fight.

I'm still skeptical about him making weight as well, although if he is actually 147.9 now, he's on course to make weight.
