Question for people in the UK

Hockey is terrible on tv too fast, baseball is the best for me.

I mean Ice Hockey, I honestly can't see the puck and the game is too fast to really watch it. It's a shit spectator sport I can see it being fun to play however. It's easy enough to see live mate, if you ever get the chance I recommend it. I like American Football, I would happily watch 40 games of live Ice hockey a year too, but I can't stand the other two, they along with Golf and Tennis are the only mainstream sports I won't watch.

NFL will never take off over here as its a very very expencive sport.Fixed. It's not like you can buy a £5 ball and use some jumpers for goal posts. Seriously though I think my second hand pads cost me upwards of £100 back in 91 so no doubt you are looking as a serious investment if you are going to play more than a park throw about, where as football can be played for £20 a year so long as you're not buying silly boots. For alot of Inner city kids £20 isjust about all parents can afford, thats probably why Basketball is more popular than American Football with poor kids in the states.

I guess Brits watching football is the same thing when i watch soccer or rugby i just find it boring and predictable. if the NFL found a way to teach football to the youth of people in europe maybe it would succeed though.

Does anyone care at all when the NFL comes over there and plays a game in the Wembley Arena? Honestly, the last time i only found out about it after it had happened. The NFL have clearly pumped some money into promoting it over here, as it got alot of hype in 2007, and it had a highlights show on the BBC. I don't think it will ever be a success in terms of TV figures, but they will do well in terms of attendance as long as they play in London due to the amount of Americans that live there.

suppleness,flexibility,agility,stamina are just as athletic qualites as power strength etc they are all the make up of a GREAT athlete

Soccer players obviously have far greater stamina. The way NFL is set up is all about being explosive isn't it? thats the way i see it aswell so really you cannot catergorically even say they are superior athletes either cause they incorporate different types of athletic qualitys its like comparing a 100 metre runner to some of the great Kenyans and saying the 100 metre runner is a superior athlete

thats no opinion Futbol players in the best endurance shape American Football players are the biggest fastest and strongest. Plus they run with a full gear on, and more head injuries occur in american football, thts a fact too. Stick your best rugby player across the line from Ray Lewis or Shawn Merrimen and ur gonna tell me ray for shawn wiill get put down? thats not happening. faster and stronger does not mean they poccess stamina and agility infact by the very nature of the muscle they carry and the fact they probaby cover less ground over the coarse of a game means Soccer players probably have more stamina and agility cause they are not restricted to muscle mass wearing them out and restricting their movements etc

I'd go and watch an American Football match. I have no idea what the rules are, but some of those guys are sick Athletes, when you see a guy run the length of the field dodging people left right and centre in about 15 seconds whilst wearing a helmet, and a shit load of padding, you have to say 'sick' But yeah I'll never really like it. Like someone said it's more the 'event', an American sporting event is a completely different thing. They go for it. It be nice to see from a cultural perspective.

Just like the New England Patriots ....... Along with golf, NFL is the only sport I can't be bothered to watch. o wow u brought it up Ok sum kid in the orginzation took a video of the rams with coach belichick knowing.
