Former British and WBU welterweight champion, Michael Jennings believes that former WBA welterweight champion Miguel Angel Cottos defeat has shattered him mentally and he could be there for the taking.
"We all saw how the fight went and it was an unlucky turn of events that he got stopped.
"Look at fighters like Naseem Hamed and Mike Tyson, after they lost there first fight they were never the same again.
"I am going to take advantage of this and I am going to punish him for taking me lightly!"
Jennings also believes he has enough talent to stop the fight in his favour.
"I have been undermined my whole career, people thought boxers such as Bradley Pryce, Chris Saunders and Mehrdud Takaloo were going to murder me, but I proved everyone wrong.
"I will train the hardest i've ever trained in my life and I don't think, I know I can stop Miguel Cotto and be a new british world champion among the greats such as Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe!"
Michael Jennings holds an impressive record of 34 wins and only 1 loss while Miguel Cotto lost his unbeaten record in July to the WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito.

In Boxing Monthly Jennings says he dont think the Defeat will effect Cotto, that his loss to Mutley did nothing to him.
Dont forget lads the biggest fight on the weekend isnt oscar/pac

The only thing Jennings is going to take is a stretcher back to his locker room.

no chance
Alfonso Gomez had more chance than Jennings does
Jennings will Box on the move but he will get walked down and punished to the body
Miguel Cotto is my favorite fighter and has been ever since he turned pro on EPSN. I remember my dad being huge on him because he was considered probably the best amateur ever from Puerto Rico. I really wish him well on his comeback and hope that 1st loss didnt ruin him. I doubt it did because Cotto seems like a very mentaly strong person.
Jennings seems liek a decent fighter, like Gianluca Branco type, who Cotto destroyed at 140. Hes a decent fighter, and can train harder than he has ever trained, but at the end of the day hes not on Cotto's level. Ill confess i never seen Jennings fight, im downloading one of his fights as we speak, but this is just what it seems like to me.
I think Cotto will take his time and break this guy down. He'll grab another title, and then Margarito rematch baby!
I've been a jennings fan for awhile now, but never expected him to get a fight at cottos level.
He's a very good fighter for british/european/commonwealth level maybe a step up from that, but certainly not on a world title level. I'm happy for him to get a payday though. I don't expect him to win, but i expect him to suprise a few people along the way and last the distance. This isn't going to be Alfonso gomez 2.
I hope your Joking, because if you are not, then have to consider you the biggest idiot in boxing scene!!!!!!1
How could anyone think THIS......
