Im just curious to know how fighting Mosley for $2mil makes more sense from both a monetary standpoint and a legacy standpoint, rather than rematching Williams for $4mil and a chance to redeem himself.
I've seen a few diehard Margarito fans try and defend this decision, and i just dont see how you can. I like both Marg and Williams, and would love to see a rematch to show who's the true 147lb champ.
I dont even think Arum would pay Margarito that much money ($4mil) to rematch Cotto.
Williams fight won't happen IMO because of Al Haymon. Cotto and Margarito are possibilities even though those percentages could be very low. Do you think it was a good possibility that if Cotto would have beat Margarito that PBF vs. Cotto might have been made. We all know that Cotto would have brought more money than Margarito.
Its possible, but doesn't really mean anything.
The Williams fight won't happen because Floyd won't want it. Haymon or no Haymon. Floyd controls his own career.
Margarito losing to Williams has nothing to do with because Floyd most likely wouldn't fight Williams either, nor Cotto, nor Clottey, or Shane.
Theres something to be said about that.
At this point, he only wants guys he already beat, and a smaller man, again.
Now you can try to put that spin onto Margarito, but once again, Margarito has fought Paul, asked for an immediate rematch, was declined and moved on.
The only talks of Floyd returning are with DLH, Hatton and Pac.
I would hope he proves me wrong.

Yes you did state a fact that he told Margarito that and PBF did retire. But you stated no fact that proves his retirement was out of fear. That is your opinion. You are very much entitled to it. Here we go with the name calling. Whats next?
Regardless of if the fight would ever happen or not just answer me this. Did Margarito losing to Williams help or hurt his cause in possibly getting a fight with PBF?
That question has nothing to do with whether or not Margarito deserved the fight before he lost because as I the so called "stan" has already posted that I felt Margarito deserved the fight before the loss even after the loss with beating Cotto(even though I'm not that high on Cotto) he has re-earned the fight with PBF if he wasn't retired.
I just don't subscribe to all that ducking people out of fear shit that some of yall do.

"you'll get your shot".
Then retires.
Talks about returning have him in with DLH, Hatton or Pacquiao.
You're just a stan.
I've stated facts, not opinions.

What you just said proves nothing. Now I'm drinking the Jim Jones kool-aid because I don't have the same opinion as you? Yeah ok BOY!!!!!

Where is Floyd now?
When talks of him returning, whos names are being thrown around?
Certainly not Tonys.
Quit drinking that kool aid boy.

Scared and ducking is your opinion(maybe your fact) as well as many others just as that is not my opinion or fact as well as many others.
I truthfully never got where people felt PBF showed fear of Margarito in that video. That is some bullshit IMO.

Just looking at that and thinking, "this dude will have fought each and every single one of those guys", is seriously, some sick, sick shit.
I don't get how that doesn't impress people.
But this one did happen because a fighter is scared and ducking.
Margarito vs Mayweather.
Check the sig.

I said the same thing, but one poster had a good point. At least Marg had the balls to fight Williams. Floyd avoided Marg all together.

You mean the same way Magarito fans are flopping this around to make it seem that Margarito is not a ducker.
This shit is stupid fights happen and don't happen for many reasons. I am willing to bet 99% of fights that don't happen its not because of a fighter being scared of the other and ducking.
But this one did happen because a fighter is scared and ducking.

And I love how all the Floyd fans are flipping this out to make it seem that Margarito is a ducker.

But now that Margarito is in the same position that Floyd is, he is doing the same. When he fought Williams the first time, he wasn't in this position where he can turn down fights. Same shit, different fighters.
Actually, he turned down the Cotto fight to take on Paul.
See the difference?
I said the same thing, but one poster had a good point. At least Marg had the balls to fight Williams. Floyd avoided Marg all together.

Good post!:fing02: I agree, I'd much rather see him rematch Williams.
I love how all the Margarito fans are using the same arguements in defense of Margarito not fighting Paul Williams that PBF fans were using in defense of PBF not fighting Margarito.
THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HHHUUUUUMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
