He paid Joan Guzman off so he couldn't fight Alex Arthur. Actually he paid the WBO off and then in return the WBO offered Guzman the Lightweight #1 mandatory ranking. To hard to pass up so Guzman took it.

Did anyone really expect an American to come over and fight a dangerous opponent in a 50/50 fight. heeeelllll no........ I had a feeling that this was gonna happen and was genuinely surprised when the fight was announced that Banks took it. This is why American boxing is the way it is......cause all their fighters are out for easy paydays on home soil. Watch Taylor avoid Froch at all cost if he wins on Sat... Big Mac, you gotta feel for this fella, but anyone who was thinking of buying a PPV on the strength of seeing him fight needs theres heads looking at, he's an average fighter in a division of nobody's, well now David has left, who showed him exactly how a cruiser-weight should punch! Still Warren will try and sell you the PPV, glass jaw Khan is 'fighting' as well! Ca-ching! Seriously though, please UK peeps don't line Warrens pockets, selling a very average friday night fight night card for 15 quid on the stregth of the Oscar fight, watch Froch on ITV then download the rest from WBA or tc boxing half hour after fight

Gutted for Enzo if this is true. Think this would have been the best fight of the night. Hope he'll still be able to get an opponent at short notice to at least get some rounds under his belt.

This card was looking quite tempting at first. Enzo v Banks Cook v Forster Jnr Paquiao v ODLH It was well worth £15, but now it just isn't!!!! We should be thankful here in Britain that we only have to buy PPV 2/3 times a year whereas in the US most of the fights we see on Setanta cost them $50.

This is absolutely ludicrous. Banks needs shooting. I was going to buy the PPV on the strength of this bout but I guess it's made the decision easy for me. They won't get a decent opponent at this late stage unless one of the other top ranked fighters fancy a go at short notice.
