Will he? My first thought was that I didn't like him. He had an awful fight to watch on boxing after dark a while ago. He literally didn't engage at all. But since then the rest of his fights have been pretty good. I know he's only 18-0 or something like that. But he has pretty good skill.
Andre Ward will outshine him, as long as Ward's healthy and fightin three times a year Dirrell will be overshadowed.
this isnt an either thing. im a ward fan and im from san jose but dirrell is special. i also think that ward lunges a bit and ofcourse there are those chin questions. i think ward and dirrell will both be world champs. no way ward "overshadows" dirrell; theres enough room in boxing for both of them
Dirrell's speed and aggression was impressive in the Oganov fight, but it should be noted that Oganov is a stationary guy who gave up 5" in height to Andre.
I think he'll be a force at 168. He needs to learn to pace himself; he was putting everything into every punch against Oganov, even when it became obvious that Oganov had the chin to hang in for a while. But even at this point I can see him giving most of the top guys at 168 a good fight.

i think Ward is the better fighter too
i like Dirrell style but he is a little too open imo
yeah, i think he knows the stevens fight was a piece of shit.he's been trying to redeem himself and he has.and he will be a force at 168.i think he's the best of the prospects.
