Pay $500 or stay and watch it at home?

Here is the debate topic. Should I take my wife and 2 kids to the Pwill and Arreola fight in Ontario or should I just enjoy it at home. I have been promising my boys to take them to a fight. They are 7 and 8 years old. I just don't think either fight is worth a live seat cost. It is an event and its 10 minutes away from home. Yet again I am addicted to boxing?

Thanks guys for your advice. I decided to watch it at home. The kids decided it for me. I asked them would they rather get 2 new WII games or go to the fight. Enough Said. Theres always cards at the DoubleTree off Vineyard, Chris has fought there quite a few times. Then theres San Manuel.

Buy them a 32" lg lctv from circuit city because of the post holiday sales (skip the warranty) and let them watch it in hd. Then when there is a cheaper small local show take them to check it out.

I'd watch it at home and take the kids to a smaller card to start with. If they really like it, then take them to a bigger show.

You must be getting ringside or close to that, I'm sure you can find some decent seats for less then $500. I always prefer to go watch it live but it depends how much expendable income you have. Go to the fights then let us know how the night went.

Take the kids, and do it for their sake. You told them you would and they probably want to go, it'll be a big deal for them and a good memory 20yrs from now. Leave the wife at home man, are you mad???

As they said, if you can afford it why not? If you need the money for other things then no. To some people $500 is lot, others will pay it for lunch.

If you can afford it I say go for it. I took my son to see Evander fight some bum about 2 years ago at AA center in Dallas. He was around 7 at the time. He had a blast. It was neat to see how excited he got. To this day he still mentions the time "Me and Dad" went to see Hollyfield fight live. Family time............can't beat it.
