Bonnie, 50, was beaming as she walked out of the store with her turkey. "I can't wait to put it on the table," said Bonnie, who babysits for a living. "I'm making dressing from scratch. I'm going to have a nice Thanksgiving. "It means a lot for (Mayweather) to do this. It's great to give to people that don't have it." Mayweather's foundation matched donations from a dozen churches in the area to provide the turkeys. It was the fourth-annual such giveaway in which Mayweather, the Grand Rapids-native boxing champ, has participated. Mayweather is filming a reality TV show in Las Vegas and couldn't make the giveaway, but foundation representatives said he was there in spirit. "Even though he might not have a physical presence, his heart is still here," said foundation executive assistant Brandy McCallum. A free turkey brightened the spirits of Margaret Gates, 58, who went to the store with her two-year-old grandson, Kertril. "I think it's great.
