Whats he surposed to do if al te so called legitimate contenders refuse to fight Froch?? Cry me a river with the "no one will fight him" BS. Pavlik's KO rating is higher than Froch's and he fought whoever would fight him until he got a shot at a big payday and a title, taking on other tough customers in Miranda, Zertuche, Zuniga, etc. He stayed busy and didn't take 6+ month breaks between fights. If Froch couldn't get fights or at minimum stay busy, then its his management's fault. Not everyone else's.

Relative to the likes of Dawson, Hopkins and Johnson, Froch does not deserve a shot. WHo has be beaten to warrant being given the fight ahead of those guys?

God, I'm sick of hearing how Dawson doesn't deserve to step into a ring with that ATG Joe Calzaghe. Dawson is more proven light-heavyweight than Calzaghe. He is widely agreed to be one of the best light-heavyweight in the world. Everyone agrees he would give Calzaghe the most competitive fight. And yet, it's a no-goer because he doesn't bring the bucks to the table. FFS, like Calzaghe's last fight needs someone with the status of a De La Hoya. It's gonna sell regardless, so at least make the fukking thing competitive. Dawson is as well known to British fans as Lacy was. And Lacy is Calzaghe's career defining fight. Everyone sounds like a fukking Floyd fan nowadays, claiming their fighter won't fight this guy and that guy cos he doesn't bring enough money. And then they bitch when DLH fights the Pacquaios and Hattons of this world. Dawson is not well known i dont think people know he exists. No joke. Lacy was a big name that was going to clean up the division when he appeared on the scene. There alway going to be " that up an comer fighter" that was Dawson (you say is) is.

Any who actually knew the scorecards i think 2 of the scorers by panels of tv and radio ex boxers etc had Hopkins winning. I think some of Bhop "nuthuggers" are trying to sway things. ill try find the article of various panel scoring the fight.

Meaningless? How is an in demand fight not have relevence over a fight that nobody wants to see again? Bernard is not worthy of another shot at Calzaghe. Especially over Dawson. Hokins was beaten way worse than the scorecards indicated. The fight was not close at all. Just because Hopkins somehow managed to drop Calzaghe in the first round and kept him from throwing 1000+ punches didn't mean he was close to winning the fight. He lost and saying he deserved a rematch is about the same as saying Jones deserves one. Interesting fact: Jones landed more punches on Calzaghe than Hopkins did. 32 more to be exact. 31 more were power shots too. You are going to have a really hard time finding ppl who are going to agree with you on that.

Joe would and could fight on PPV. I personally wouldnt mind him fighting Johnson but the rest can just swim away. Froch wont have a look in, Dawson would be another shit fight, BHop Rematch? I don't feel like that rematch is in demand at all. The Calzaghe win was way more decisive than most think and the fight was awful to watch. Nothing leads me to beleive Hopkins will do any better in a rematch and there is no point in one, in my opinion. Sure that is your opinion but it is meaningless in relation to this topic IMO. I am talking about the relative worthiness of opponents, not how commercially attractive a potential fight may be. I think you would have a hard time that Bernard isn't worthy of another shot.

Calzaghe would Lacy Froch. No way he deserves a shot before Chad Dawson. If Calzaghe fights anybody in SMW or LHW, it will have to be Chad Dawson. Period. >Calzaghe fighting anyone else would continue the fraud that has been his whole career. I would accept a BHop rematch also given that their fight was a disputed decision.

The thing is Calzaghe was a SMW for like 15 years, champion for 11 and is generally known as the SMW king. Froch is another whom is one of the top 3ish (varies on person) SMW whom will be a force in it in the future, possibly number one. To have a win over a future guy like that will strengthen his legacy as the absolute SMW king, 10 years down the line. Froch has been calling out Calzaghe for years as a SMW so may he feel more compelled to take that fight based on that, rather then yet another big super future American guy. It's very different for Dawson, it's a different kind of win and meaning. I do agree all in all though, probably more meaningful in the boxing world. But is it more meaningful to the UK fans, more of whom know Froch, than Dawson? That's what Joe wants now, to reward and kinda make a statement to the UK fans. But it's gambling on how much your going to gain from a win, based on how well that guy will do later on. There's no guarantee's and you can't blame Calzaghe for getting pissed being called to face the latest well hyped American. He's beaten more of them, than anyone. I definitely agree Dawson is more deserving. But hey, both are prime young guys. You don't see quite such a fuss about other match ups not coming off, or choices, not even ODL vs Pac at times.

I kinda hope Froch wins but I seriously doubt Froch beats Pascal. He is looking past him while he has a very live dog in his fence right now. I would be willing te bet Froch loses this one.
