Is it just me, or does Buddy mcgirts fighters always seem to loose? Its a bit ridiculous at this point, his fighters need to get a clue. FYI, Im still a huge Paulie fan after tonights fight. I hope the stoppage teaches him a lesson, or at least he gets a new trainer!!
Paulie needs his hand at his waist. It's his style. But not Gatti.
I personaly think that he trains his fighters differently from how he tells them in the corner.. Paulie was traying to throw uppercuts and go to the body against Ngoudjo and looked bad, he did again against Hatton and looked bad.
Well, it was his peril against Hatton in some occasions and heavy punchers.
Is it just me
Lol, I made pretty much this exact thread about a year ago:

Its not just you.
Things haven't improved McGirt wise. When I saw him in Paulie's corner this weekend, I knew that Hatton would emerge victorious.
"You're taking too much punishment!!!!" is like a catch phrase with him;he says it often because his fighters are always getting smashed in the teeth after he trains them into the ground.
I think he got noticed as a trainer when he helped Gatti become more of a boxer than a puncher, giving Gatti's career 2nd life until the Mayweather fight. Gatti had some success under Mc Girt's style.
Both Gatti & Paulie had their left had's so far down in their most important fights under Mc Girt. Which makes me wonder about him.

buddy is a excellent buddy as a trainer, during fights he tells his fighters they are winning even though buddys fighters are down 6 rounds to 1, buddy is a buddy trainer, not a real trainer like teddy atlas , emmanuel stewart , nacho beristein , etc. who tell their fighters they are losing, buddy is the all time worst trainer of all time, hes a good buddy with his fighters though

From what i have seen, buddy is a highly overrated trainer. Im not sure what it is maybe somebody with more knowledge could spread some light on why he is a "big name trainer" in boxing.

nah... paulie just isn't that great... he's a good boxer, but his fragile hands hold him back... also he just wasn't making the best of what he's got. he thought he could go in there and mayweather hatton, but there's only 1 mayweather.
i dont think he is a bad trainer...sure he ****e paulie over with that stoppage
Exactly what would Paulie have gained? While not agreeing with the stoppage, how exactly did Buddy **** him over?
i dont think he is a bad trainer...sure he ****e paulie over with that stoppage, but his advice s almost always decent-good.....
his fighters just werent that good....
Tarver is a one hit wonder...and has looked like shit post McGirt anyway....
Gatti was never that good above 130.......and looked like sit in his fight post McGrt anyway.....
Forrest is basically the welterweight Tarver.....and won his last fight.....
Paulie did very good i his first two fights with McGirt......and the dou fight was more his fault than anything......same as tonights fight.....
i mean none of this guys are that good as to blame mcgirt for their shortcomings...
