It's no secret that Cotto is my favorite fighter, but I also like Hatton a lot, so I'll try to be as unbiased as possible: If this fight were to happen at 140 I could see Miguel Cotto winning by knock out in the later rounds, I could see it as somewhat the Cotto - Torres fight, in the sense that Cotto being hurt early but coming off to knock him out later, the only thing is that Torres doesn't have chin whereas Hatton does have chin so it would be more difficult for Cotto to knock him out making him susceptible to the wild punches Hatton throws, this fight would be a great one and could go out either way, but I think something is for sure that this fight regardless of the winner wouldn't go to the scorecards. My pick would be Miguel Cotto TKO 9.

Cotto beats Hatton at 147 and and 140 right up untill the end of his career at the weight when his struggle with the scales was effecting him like it did against Paullie. He wins because he's the better fighter in all areas

Look at the difference in competition. Cotto has fought the better fighters than Hatton. Hatton did face the greatest boxer in the past 10 years in Floyd. Hatton is 1 dimensional while Cotto is by far the better fighter.

At 140 it would be pretty close, probably Hatton on workrate squeeking it, not something i would want to be putting any money on though. at 147 Cotto would win, comfortably.
