So why does everyone on this forum hate Margarito so much??

I think people hate him because he's a fraud and a hypocrite. He knows he sucks as a fighter. His only asset is his chin, which allows him to march forward and throw non-stop punches without fear of being hit back. Without that chin, he's as big a bum as you can get in boxing. No skill, no ability, nothing. He calls himself the most feared man in the sport when he is afraid of the guys in his own division. He's ducked 3 top 10 welterweights since he beat Cotto and it's not even 6 months removed from that win yet. That's a one elite fighter ducking every 2 months average. And people said MAYWEATHER ducked people. Margarito isn't going anywhere near guys with good hand speed or even the slightest hint of boxing ability. That means no Clottey, Mosley, Berto, or Williams

You are....right. Margarito is most exciting to watch. He's relentless and punishing. When he fights, I feel like I got my money's worth. Can't say the same for alot fighters these days. Some fans would rather talk about how much money a guy made than see someone like Margarito go balls to the wall while trying to win.

Furthermore, Margarito's DESTRUCTION of Miguel Cotto is more impressive than just about anything anybody has done recently at WW. Margarito is in a position right now to call his own shots. Mosely is in no position to be dictating anything to Margarito. 1. I predicted Margarito to TKO Cotto in the 11th. Don't believe me? I'll dig it up for you if you don't. 2. Obviously he is. Where on Earth is Margarito going to get 2 million to fight a "tune up" before his rematch with Cotto? Now, maybe the negotiations between the two camps is still underway. But this is just not a smart move by Margarito if this fight falls by the wayside.

Margarito is one of my favorites. I enjoy watching him relentlessly and systematically destroy good opponents like Cotto and Cintron. Not after turning down PWill, and now with his prima donna act with Mosley. I'm not saying he is "ducking" anyone, but that title that his fan base have held so near and dear to their hearts, is being pretty much getting flushed down the shitter with this GBP payback. See, it's a bitch move if anybody decides to balk over a payday. But now with Margarito, it's a "Smart Business Move." Bullshit. When Floyd declined to fight Margarito for 8 million, some claimed Floyd dodged Margarito. The nuthugger rushed to Floyd's defense in hysteria. Excuses abound to this day. But, the Mayweather nuthuggers have since become almost militant in their hatred towards "the most dangerous man in boxing." There's your answer. Wrong. He doesn't have an asshole arrogence about himself like the De La Hoya's/Mayweathers of the world. He never really had anything handed to him like most of the Alphabet champs in his division. He's always respectful to other fighters and his fighting style although very primative best embodies the blue collar work ethic of not only his country but ours as well. So why all the hate? I personally dont hate Margarito. I enjoy watching him fight, and he is one of the best pressure fighters i've ever seen, but with that said, he does seem to whine a lot. When he lost to Paul Williams all he did was bitch. He beats Cotto, and his ego seems to have gotten bigger then Mayweathers. He claims how everyone avoided him, and yet when Paul Williams offers him 4 mill for a rematch he turns it down. So now he comes off looking like a hypocrit. Fighters get bad reps because of their fans on forums sometimes. I don't hate Margarito, I respect and like the guy... However, that doesn't mean I don't think he is being a punk and a hypocrite right now for not signing to fight Mosley. He pretty much did what he said he wouldn't do and that's be like Mayweather's punk ass.
