I'm a Roy Jones fan and I believe that he is not finish yet. I think that he needs to get back a discipline that he has within himself and challenge himself to have a fight in which he lays it all on the line no matter what !!! I believe that Roy confidence may be shot but his ability is intact to overcome and regain his "old form" at least one last time and than retire with a performance of the "Old Roy" that will be a lasting memory for himself and his fans!!!!!!!
As a true RJJ fan for life, I personally think he's finished. I bet Calzaghe over him in their fight and am a big fan of Calzaghe as well, so this is not to degrade him by saying RJJ is finished. I'm simply stating the truth.
I think he's given the fans enough already so I say let the man go tend to his roosters and live the rest of his life in peace and good health.
did u see the 24/7. it looked like RJJ wasnt taking his training serious. he was just joking around with a couple of fat guys. i didnt see any clips of any serious training
Fighters don't give away what they are doing in training, that's probably why you never saw any serious training from Roy.

since when does calzaghe have a good chin?
Since always. What a silly question. Calzaghe has one of the best chins in boxing. Yes, he occasionally gets knocked down (4 times in 18 years), but recovers instantly. How many people have you seen put their head between Roy's fists and completely drop their guard? How about that uppercut that Jones landed? Joe ignored it.
I don't think I've seen anyone recover as fast as Joe after taking a hard shot.

he gave a great performance against trinidad and looked refreshed and younger...but you have to take into account trinidad's stage in his career also.
for that one last great performance it will have to come against a fighter past his prime.
yep!
like him or not, he can win a fight simply by going longer than you. couple that with his strange style, great chin, and a good bit of skill and hes a tough cookie.
since when does calzaghe have a good chin?
Yes it is. Jones has never been a high work rate fighter, Joe would have always pushed him to the max, prime or not.

He can't do it. It's not the high pace Calzaghe put on, it's just that Roy is completely shot. It's hard to see him win vs anyone half decent now and it would be sad to see him fight a can. He lost his chance a long time ago when he went another go with Tarver.

im sorry brother but it looks like Jones doesn't have it in him any more, he wasn't up to it against Calzaghe and a big performance against a lesser name wont have as much meaning. His time with the big names may well be over :(
Nah, hes Giacobbe Fragomeni, italian Cruiser, just double ckecked with youtube
he did well before getting KOed, shame he never had that much power really...
haye looks like garbage in the vid
Fight someone that doesn't have a high workrate, then you'll see the old jones jr... :boxing:
wont see old Roy no matter what. Please stop trying to boost Joes win like he did something special.
Jones could win if they have a ref who deducts for all the time taylor clinches. He ****ed up the jeff lacy fight with his boring tactic. Hell, I give jeff lacy a good chance of knocking someone out like Taylor if Taylor hadn't clinched all night long.
Clinch as he might have, he was carrying Lacy throughout that fight, the only way Lacy was knocking Taylor out is if Taylor stuck his chin out.
As for Jones, I thought we would see flashes of him during the Calzaghe fight but I don't think he can compete at championship level anymore, especially at 175. The only opponents out there will have to be smaller than him and that would hardly be worth watching in my opinion
I think its mock, is that his first name? Then I guess it is him

i think he would have harder time clinching jones than Lacy. Plus Jones would force Taylor to come at him, and not the other way around like in the Lacy fight where Jeff was always coming forward lounging in and missing with wrong distance.
Btw, in your avi is that Fragomeni punching Haye?
