This dude has 41 fights and the only known name is Calzaghe to whom he lost, and yet people are saying he is the best super middleweight in the world, This why has fought no one, he is not proven, he tried to prove something and lost, He is avoiding all the good fighters and fighting bums, He is waiting for big names fighters to be shot and them fight them when he is 35 or so and other are well past their prime, just like Calzaghe is doing, at least calzaghe had 2 guys from the Contender wish you people seem to find amazing.
This dude is a joke, If he wants to be great please fight someone worth watching you fight.
Some ignorant people assume that if they haven't heard of someone, or the fighter is European, then they are no good.
Kessler has wins over several good fighters: Beyer, Mundine, and Andrade. In time, Sartisan will show he was also a good opponent.
I wager Kessler's next opponent will be some overrated American like Jermain Taylor.
You got to me kidding me. Do I even need to bother comparing the resumes of Taylor and Kessler?

Boxing scene needs to IQ tests people before they should be allowed onto the forum
:crackhead
Ok. I'll have a look. You were quite impressed with taylor?
Impressed with his ring generalship, for once, and his return to his jab and the way it set up his combinations. Impressed with his defense for most of the fight as well, also whenever he felt himself getting near the ropes, he'd slip out as quickly as possible.
Disappointed though that his stamina still seems to be an issue for him... his highest punch output per round was 46... I'd like to see his average per round output approach 50, not his peak.
Hes just folowing Joes blueprint...
KESS LER HAS TURNED DOWN EVERY GOOD OPPONENT OFFERED..HES A JOKE.
Like who?
Kessler himself has been turned down more times than you can count by yanks wanting no part of him.
I think the fight is worth watching, especially if you want to get a sense of Taylor's development as a fighter... for the first time in... well, ever... he had moments where he looked like a veteran boxer.
If you want to pick and choose, I think at least rounds 2-7 are worth watching... rounds 10-12 had some good action also.
I know a lot of people have complained about the amount of clinching, but for the most part it was a good action fight, except for a few hug-filled rounds.

kessler is wack but he hits harder than cal-slappy..& joke never beat Hopkins then fought a old jones..he gits no respect! go home average joe, go home.
I havent seen it. The only thing I know about the fight is the report and Lefty's take on Taylor.
Is it worth watching in your opinion? Anyway Taylor is a bit of an enigma. Sometimes he underachieves in the most frustrating of manners. Other times he's poetry in motion. I would expect him to be back at full strenght now and a force to be reckoned with at 168. To me the battle for supremacy at 168 will be between Taylor and Kessler.

Bat,
In the past you have said you think Taylor would probably beat Kessler.
Have you seen any of the Taylor/Lacy fight? If so, did you see anything to change your opinion any on how a Taylor/Kessler matchup would turn out?
(If you haven't seen it, it's up on tko24.com and other sites as well, I'm sure)

Troll......!
Read boxrec before posting ignorant stuff like that.
Kessler was p4p no.9 before the Calzaghe fight for a reason.

Oh dear, more utterly clueless Euro-phobic crap. Since the Calzaghe defeat Kessler has ducked nobody. All the 'anybody's', meanwhile (by which you mean US 'bums' rather than European 'bums' presumably), have used every excuse in the book to avoid him.
Put up or shut up.. give us a list of fighters Kessler is supposed to have avoided, with evidence of same?
It doesn't matter who Kessler fights at SMW (or even LHW, perhaps) - if he connects with those uppercuts he corked Calzaghe with his opponent is in trouble.
