Who was best in his prime..Floyd, Roy, or Bernard?

Floyd Mayweather... he has the defense, craftsmanship and smarts of B-Hop and the athleticism and offense of Roy Jones... he's almost like both of them melded into one doubly great fighter

I do believe Roy was the best in his prime.He was the all around better athlete and had all the tools.The problem was, he wanted to be an even better business man and avoided taking serious risks inside and outside of the ring. I'm more impressed with Hopkins' resume. Twenty years from now his accomplishments I think will overshadow Roy and Floyd's.

Mayweather at 130 and 135 had a great offense better than Hopkins. Hopkins in his prime was the better offensive fighter IMO.

No way Hopkins is more skilled than Mayweather That's debatable, Mayweather is more skilled on defense but he's not as skilled on offense, and I think Hopkins blends offense and defense better, it's debatable but I give the slight edge to Hopkins. And Hopkins' defensive skills aren't that far off Mayweather's because I doubt Mayweather would be able to avoid getting hit when he's 43.

Joe Calzaghe conquered Roy Jones, Jr. and Bernard Hopkins and as a result, sealed his place as the best of his generation. History has spoken. But, of the remaining contenders who was the best in his prime? I'll throw the Mayweather nuthuggers a bone and include lil' Floyd in the mix. Of Hopkins, Jones, and Mayweather, I've got to vote for Hopkins. Yes, Jones beat a young Hopkins, but I do believe the Hopkins of 1997-2000 would have beaten prime Jones. Hopkins was too crafty and would have been able to eventually get in and land on Jones' glass jaw. IMO Mayweather cannot be considered because he dodged the really big hitters, ie..Kostya Tszu, Antonio Margarito, and Miguel Cotto. calzaghe fans are getting dumber by the minute, i never liked roy and bernard is my favorite american fighter but to say bernard was better than oy in his prime would be , straight up dishonest, calzaghe fans are becoming like a dumb smarter version of floyd fans, but with more credibility

We can agree that not fighting Margarito or Cotto was a disappointing move by Mayweather. Now that we can agree to. And it didn't help his claim as being the best of all time. Obviously he is not the greatest of all time, but I don't blame him for hyping himself. And yes fighting Margarito and Cotto wuold have been nice, but many other fighters (in all eras) did the same or worse, so it doesnt really bother me.

Roy Jones > Calzaghe prime for prime Hopkins > Calzaghe prime for prime Calzaghe had to wait till they where much older to beat them lolz this part is true Calzaghe's workrate would not have been a major factor if he had fought Jones,Hopkins in their primes but its a major factor when your oponents are 40 years old
