If Haye takes Tune up fight who should it be against?

I'd like to see him KTFO Sam Peter. WHO NESST?!?!?

Before taking on one of the Klitchko's who do you think he should fight? I'd pick Sam Peter or Sultan Ibragimov if they are going to get in the ring EDIT: Peter and Ibragimov aren't Tune ups so a fight to really test himself against an "A" grade Heavyweight he needs to fight one of the east-euro / russian robots as a tune up for the klits... forget about peter

None of them. Toney would be the best tune up IMO. a stiff test for Haye, but no danger of being KO'd, and we can see if Haye can become the first guy to KO Toney. that would be a great fight to watch, also something that could sell. Not the right style to prepare him for Wlad, but still very worth it. I actually think Toney could pull the upset if he trains hard and doesnt get lazy in the ring

elbonzoseco - i dont think haye looked ordinary at all i think he looked quite good. i think he could have had monte barrett out of there anytime he wanted to if he'd thrown an accumulation of punches. instead he was looking for the one punch KO, imo he might have had the one punch KO power at cruiser but at HW its a different story. i think he did look good though - relaxed, confident and sharp. i think he does need one or maybe 2 fights before he takes on a klitchsko. personally i think jams toney would be a real test for haye, haye looks good against fightes who are slow and methodical, fighters like rahman, holyfield, valeuv who david would just tee off all night long. it would be interesting to see how he does against someone like toney who is crafty and would force david to think about his punches, toney wouldn't hurt him either imo toney doesn't have a heavyweights punch. toney at the minute is a bit tied up with thompson, another opponent that david should look at. thompson is a very big heavyweight, a good southpaw and has a good jab. another fighter who would force david to think about his punches. i actually think david would do better against bigger heavyweights, he is sharper and quicker, his footwork imo is underrated. he has said beforehand that he prefers it when he can see the chin - he did well against big cruisers ala enzo maccarineli but not quite so good against others like mormeck. another reason why toney would be a real test. dimitrenko is being mentioned alot - id like to see david take him on as well. he is cut from the same cloth as the klitchsko's and would be a good tune-up for vlad. ________ Cheap glass pipes

Dimitrenko would be a good test...Austin as well. I wouldnt put him against David Tua tho...he might be slow now but still great chin and amazing power against an impatient Haye could be recipe for disaster.

Off of that list I'd pick Maskaev, he's really shot. Haye looked really ordinary last night and I don't want anyone to spoil a possible Klitschko bout.

the problem is any big heavyweight would be risky for the smaller haye. if he loses that's a lot of money down the drain when he could have just fought a no threat , former name to keep busy and sharp. but if you want someone big...... lance whitaker and jameel mccline still around? ray austin is pretty tall isn't he? how about michael grant? they're americans too. get people to know haye against an american sells the ppv better. I agree that the money is a big issue, his chin didn't get tested last night so we still don't know if he can take a Heavyweight punch, though he should be fast enough to avoid most of them. But he won't be prepared for the champs if he doesn't fight someone like Dimitrenko.

I'd like to see him fight Dimitrienko. He's young and very big but from what I've seen not too fast. The size of Alex will prepare Haye for the Klitschkos and give him a big win at heavyweight because Dimitrienko is considered by some to be the future of the heavyweight division

As TheMachine said, Dimitrenko has some stylistic similarities to the Klitschkos, especially Wlad so that would be a good fight to prepare Haye for the Klitschkos but a guy like Peter would be a pretty big test right now as well.

if the fight with klitschko gets made you don't want to put him up against someone real dangerous. someone with a good name but not much danger in fighting. someone either smaller , slower or not packing much power. ray austin or dominick guinn would work. tua has a big name and slow and past prime enough that haye could get an easy ud......just as long as he doesn't slug it out and get caught. Actually i think he should fight someone alot taller than him with a good jab just to test himself against someone who will fight tall like Wlad/Vitali Unfortunatly I can't really think of someone other than Dimitrenko

Alexander Dimitrenko is the only one who really resembles Wladimir/Vitali. The others wouldn't really prepare him for those two in any way.

Peter would be a reasonable test.

Ibragimov would get ktfo in 2 rounds he's far too slow. Peter would be a good fight though again i think he would be knocked out by Haye. Maybe Arreola or Dimitrenko?

i'd hardly call peter or ibragimov tuneups...... Ok not tune-ups but a fight before Klitchko to really test himself at Heavy
