What do you guys think about Haye weighing in around 215lbs....the predictions were that he would weigh around 225-230 but he's come in a fair bit lighter.
Does this reflect a steady build up to heavyweight or is he caught between weights...he has been fighting effectively at 200lbs, is he gonna be too small for heavyweight (not this fight in particular)???
Barrett has been 215-220 himself for the majority of his career. I don't see why Haye should weigh any more than that.
As I say, I would be worried if he was 220+ for this particular fight, but I am asking about future fights...215 seems to be giving an advantage to the real big guys in the division. Haye will surely have to have more presence when/if he challenges the real contenders...
Of course, he wants to preserve his speed, it would be foolish not to exploit your greatest attribute, but is he stepping out of his natural range...
Speed will get you so far in the game but against bigger and more powerful guys than Barrett, is he gonna cut it...just asking opinions...
Personally, I would have been concerned had he weighed upwards of 220 lbs in his first outing at this weight...I'm thinking if he can afford to put much more on for future fights without sacrificing something...
We'll find out tommorow......

I think he's gone over board in the opposite end expected. Almost as if to keep people guessing.
Guys lose some lbs before a fight keeping muscles and hopefully gain some come fight night. But this is HW. He weighed more for his last HW fight which was in between CW fights. So all this intense work on a more defined well built HW build, seems dubious. Why then, suddenly lose 20 lbs and come in lighter then what you'd built up to 5 weeks ago? He's ****ing aout with weight. Barrett is weighing more than usual, will be banging and bulleying.
I think it's a mistake. He should be 230. That would be having shaved 5 lbs of his weigh a month or so ago. I see trouble at 215, thats low.
....The way his nut riders talked, I thought he was gong to come in at a buffed 235. He's so light in the ass he has no chance at heavy. Watch Monte spark him quickly.
apprently 2pounds lighter than when he last fought at heavyweight. they was saying on Setanta before that they expect him to enter the ring around 225 though.
It's okay for this one because Barrett is not a big guy either.
But you'd assume he'll need to pack on some more to fight the gigantor brothers if he gets to fight them. Wlad would lean all over him and physically knacker him out if he came in at just 215.
A good thing, at least against Monte. Speed is his biggest asset and at HW he won't be the #1 big hitter but explosiveness and speed will be his key attributes. weighing in at 230+lbs would be a mistake even against the Klitschko's. Also being too big would be a detriment to his stamina, which will be of more importance at the higher weight.

Yea, maybe he wants to preserve his speed
