I think Lacy has a chance of winning this fight. He's stronger and punches harder than Taylor, and he's never has any stamina problems.
I think he ran out of gas against Epifanio Mendoza.
He looked impressive in the first round and then it just went downhill from there although he was able to win a decision with his determination alone when Mendoza coasted.
Don't trust everything on boxrec:
1st round KO... although it looks suspiciously like Rios took a dive. But regardless, that should be on his record as a KO.
That's definitely a clean knockout but boxrec might list it as a TKO because the referee stopped it before counting to 10.
I like how Teddy Atlas said "I've been wrong and I've been wrong many times", atleast he admits it. But he was definitely right about Rios not being a test for Taylor at all.
Boxrec is not a reliable source of information in my opinion which is why I hesitate to use it as proof for anything.
I don't see a single one on his record unless boxrec.com is wrong about it (which I wouldn't be surprised by).
I'm sure he had some of his opponents out when the fights were stopped though, very few referees count to 10 anymore.

3. Taylor has gotten true KO's, just not many. Most of his stoppages have been when he's completely overwhelming his opponent (a few were probably called too early).

1. The fight is at 168. The winner is the mandatory for the Froch/Pascal winner, who are fighting for the WBC SMW belt.
2. Pavlik/Taylor II was limited to 166, but both guys weighed in at 164. So if Taylor comes in at a full 168 for the Lacy fight, it will be the heaviest he's fought since early in his career, when he had a few matches at 165/166.

4. I think Taylor takes Lacy past 6 at least, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a TKO win in the late rounds.
Lacy is not overrated anymore guys... if anything a lot of people probably underrate him now.
ANyway, i dont even give him a punchers chance against taylor, but i do think he makes this a very entertaining fight.
If taylor doesnt take him for granted, he should win by take round TKO
i got lacy winning just because everyone goin for taylor
also
he got something to prove
you want a little wager my friend? My 20K to your 8k? You down?????????
just picked up my tickets for the fight, cant wait to see Taylor put on a clinic. I know he lost the second fight with Pavlik, but thats the best ive seem Taylor in a long time (i was ringside for that one also). I think Cintron has a lot of questions to answer also.
you lucky shit face, you didn't tell who's coming with you. So you finally bought the tix uh, nice?
extremely overrated... but im yet to see jermain this high up in weight also... we shall see
Isn't this like 2 pounds over where he fought Pavlik at in the rematch?

He's moving up in weight, he hasn't KO'd someone since before B-Hop, he lost two in a row, one by Brutal KO. his stamina hasn't always been great, will he start using his great jab again.
oh yes, I thought we were asking if he can handle the power of Lacy...........hehe. Good solid questions.
