Is this the Roy Jones that almost threw 2 punches per round?
Is this the Roy Jones that fought Ruiz and Toney?
Is this the Roy Jones Jr. that gas out early?
Yes or No
A prime jones would have caught calzahge from 2 metres away with a leaping left hook, that jones is C-, now before fuktards say they're almost the same age, well hopkins is older and he beat joe, meaning shitforbrains people age differently.
Are you ok, i`m sure Calzaghe won on pts against a very weary and negative fighter.
Calzaghe is very active and at top on his game..
Jones best was 8 years ago.. He got knock out pretty badly by Tarver and Johnson..
You're a F U C K I N G idiot if you think Calzaghe fought a competitive Jones.. Compare the Jones 8-10 years ago to the Jones that Calzaghe fought just now.
Calzaghe would have seen a prime Jones as a serious threat, which would make Calzaghe up his perfomance, you must try and realize a prime Calzaghe was hit by fighters who hit harder than Jones and he was never floored, dispite Jones `s great skill and combinations he would never have faced somone as fast as Calzaghe. i`m telling you a prime Jones would have been outworked by a prime Calzaghe.and what`s all this ****ing idiot name calling , you must be insecure or a keyboard warrior lol.

i think by now my dear queer that we all know that Roy is not in his prime. what's your point? waste of a thread
Prime 4 Prime this would have been a very close fight. I doubt Calzaghe would be as open as he was last night against a prime Roy. It was obvious Joe was not taking this fight very seriously and was just playing with him. A fully focused Calzaghe would have beaten Jones a whole lot more.
Nah Calzaghe has always been open for right hands even at his best, i have seen a lot of his fights on Nuts and i think he is still almost in his prime, As for jone's is obvious that he is way more past his best than Calzaghe and in any case Tarver and Johnson both did a better job against a younger quicker jones than Calzaghe did.

Joe has a record of 46 wins one must look at his title defences of those 46 how many of those defences are there against Live in there prime fighters very very few !!! To call himself i legend is a true insult to past and present legends. He has never had a super fight, never unified the titles. Joe with the help of his very protective father has cunninly plotted out his career this is why he has lasted so long with a unbeated record. Joe has tremendous stamina and a good solid chin, yes he slaps and always has slapped. He does not hit as hard as he always boast this is just a ploy, his game plan has and always will be to pick fights that he and his father knows he can win with the least amount of risk. the fact that he has a work rate unseen in the super middle/light heavy division coupled with his solid chin means that 99% of the time he will overwhelm most of his opponents in the later rounds hence later on in his career he wins on points no more stoppages wheres this big punch he always on about ?.
Boxing today is rsther similar to the horse racing pundits experts like picking a winner and looking at the horses form. This is what they do now and joe and his father have always done this.Joe has only started making big money fights in his last couple of fights his long career he really should have made much more money. reason he has never fought a really live boxer champion that has captured the public or boxers pundits imagination i.e. Superfights. People can say this or that boxer avoided him, i say no joe you knew you couldnt win so rather than risk your 40+ and 0 you ask for to much money and the fight is never made !!!!
You have true warriors like glen Johnson who sparked out Roy...he will fight anyone in the division but joe wants none of him, or winky wright, or jermaine taylor before he lost it the list of fighters goes on and on. So i say to you Joe is boxing biggest fraud he is a con to the joe blogg boxing fan but the true boxing expert will look at his quality of opponents and see him for what he is FRAUD !!!! fight live boxers joe not washed up names and then call yourself a legend how dare you !!!

Calzaghe fans = trash. Why do you idiots think this fight meant anything? Anyone with a brain knew what would happen.
Prime Roy destroys Joe. Deal with it. ****ing nutsuckers.
why dont you go run under a bus or somthing
It's all in your head! Be real, Calzaghe won tonight, but he would have never beaten a Prime Jones.
Youtube "Roy Jones Jr" judge for yourself, have an open mind.
I never liked rj before, but to be fair he dominated everyone with eaaase.
ye but people think joe woud lose in the seond round in there primes i doubt i to be honest because joe had power back then.
Calzaghe was amazing considering his age.
Anyone who thinks his PERFORMANCE last night wasnt impressive is a ****ing dumb cunt.
Jones best wins were against a green Hopkins, a fat lazy Toney and a fat lazy 'champion' Ruiz.
He also got KTFO by nobodies Johnson and Tarver.
Calzaghe is undeafeated.
Umm so you missed the point entirely. typical calzaghe nuthugger.
You're not making a point, all you are doing is listing guys who have beat fighters who were past their best as if it puts Calzaghe in the same category as them when clearly it doesn't. Nobody has said Calzaghe beat a prime Jones but it is irrelevant to Calzaghe's status as a great fighter.
Credit to Holmes for beating Ali
Credit to Holyfield beating Holmes
Credit to Ruiz beating Holyfield
credit for Joe beating 2 young undefeated world champions
credit for Joe then addressing the criticism that he has no big names on his record
credit to Joe for then beating 2 atg's in the space of 7 months.
all this at the age of 34+, not bad eh?
Kevin McBride ATG
Alfonso Gomez = GREAT
LUJAN = ATG
Leon Spinks = ATG
How many of them have the same achievements in the sport as Calzaghe?
Answers on the back of stamp.

Prime Roy does not destroy Joe. Calzaghe is a great fighter and as such would have given Jones a run for his money. I agree that Roy would have won but that is no criticism of Calzaghe.
The real trash is idiots like you who can't hold a civilised discussion without resorting to petty insults.

Credit to Ruiz beating Holyfield
Holmes and Holyfield were both talented fighters so again, bad examples. Calzaghe is a great fighter irrespective of what happened last night, get over it.
The thread title should be...To DUMB Calzaghe nuthuggers.
Of course Jones was shot, but still dangerous in the early rounds as was evident by the KD.
For Calzaghe to put in that level of performance at his age after so many fights without a single loss is very impressive.
Jones was an incredible fighter becuase of the way in which he dominated his opponents, the same should apply to Calzaghe with his wins over Lacy, Kessler and Jones.
Not as great as Jones, but still a great fighter.
Credit to Mcbride for beating Tyson he has nothing to prove now :lol1:
McBride has not beat anyone else worth talking about and has been knocked out six times. Bad example.
But Jones was fighting a 37 year old Joe Calzaghe, Calzaghe is also not in his prime anymore.:pat:

I think we can all agree that a Prime Jones finishes Calzaghe off in that first round after the KD, at least takes him out in the 2nd.
Think again then.
