Joe has definatley cemented his status. There is no doubt that the Roy he fought tonight was a shell of his former self, but it is still a good win. Joe has had a long and great career, he has earnt the right to retire whenever he wants on his own terms.

Its time to face the facts gents......fact is Joe is STILL undefeated after mixing it up with Kessler, Hopkins and Jones in consecutive fights. The way the Brits glorify their fighters may get under the skin of a non-Brit, but don't let that cloud ya love for the sport. Be honest when it comes to givin' fighters credit(not just ya FAVORITES) and Joe deserves credit from ALL of us here. Why would he re-match Hopkins if he already beat him? I watched that fight twice and saw Calzaghe outpointing Hopkins with ease. It's a difference of opinions. He is a very good fighter, but no way is he an ATG. Beating two past their prime fighters is nice on his resume, but it doesn't mean much on his status.
