aw fuck man i think vic takes this. Arce is not in his prime anymore, he's been in many wars and i think vic stops him in highly exciting back and forth fight. Vic's style is ugly and causes problems, BUT if you can get used to it, he is easy to hit and easy to time. He is wide open many times.
I hear ya, I've seen Arce down hard against Carbajal and with Vic's power. But I've seen Vic down hard too against a non-puncher. It would be a hell of a fight while it lasted.

.
Arce isn't good against southpaws especially against Vic who have that herky jerky akward southpaw style.
And Arce's a punching bag.
He'd get his butt whooped .
you see arces performance tonight mijo?
to me arce carrys this persona like he's an actor acting like he's boxing.
like stalone.
all these dramatic and melodramatic looks on his face.like a tv novela.
imo he wouldnt have a chance against the improved darchinyan.
During the Israel Vazquez interview the announcer mentioned Darchinyan sparred with Izzy and would like to move up to fight him in the future.
I'm sure a quality fighter like Izzy had a lot to do with Darchinyans improvement.
I'm not necessarily criticising, just saying it how it is. I cannot really take a lot of the Mexican posters opinions for anything more than propaganda on the most part. Take Puas - perfect example - I like the guy but he is completely biased in pretty much everything he posts.
I am certainly not racist against Mexicans, I have loved Mexican fighters ever since I started watching boxing. Oscar de la Hoya is my second favourite all time fighter; Cristian Mijares is one of my current favourites and I am shattered that he lost and MAB and Morales are two of my favourites to watch.
I understand that the Mexicans have a lot of pride in their fighters and that is obviously why a lot of them are unable to give balanced opinions on fights involving Mexicans.
Fair enough......
There are so many Mexican fighters that it is hard not too root or cheer for one of your own, even if he isn't that great. I will say dumb shit exaggerating a Mexican fighters abilities but we are not always serious. I guess in a way you have a point in that we do tend to exaggerate a lot but if Filipinos,Brits and Puerto Ricans had as many fighters as we do you would see the same from them. No big deal.

It has nothing to do with racism, I just don't take most of the Mexicans seriously. They are unable to distinguish between what they would like to happen and what most likely will happen. They are unable to give an unbiased opinion on anything to do with Mexican fighters. There are obviously exceptions and some of the Mexicans are great posters (e.g. Hyperion) but the majority just can't put aside their own personal feelings and therefore cannot be taken seriously. No racism intended whatsoever, it is simply an observation.

Arce whoops Vic? Threads like this are why about 2 Mexican posters on these boards are taken seriously.

If you would have asked this immediately after Vic-Donaire and before Arce-Mijares, I would have said, Arce without a doubt. Now, Vic without a doubt. Vic proved he can be alil technical and patient against a skillful boxer like Mijares which takes away any decent boxing skill Arce has within him to confuse Vic. Then I believe punch for punch that Vic hits harder than Arce, so I'd say Vic takes this one. But just maybe if Arce wants to prove after his loss to Mijares and a new desire to really win this seeing that Vic just beat Mijares. It's sorta like the Barrera-Morales-Pacquiao storyline of the lower weights again, lol.
