How to know for sure Mayweather is retired...

Yes or No? I am admittedly a fan of Floyd, but I am definitely not a nuthugger. But one thing I will concede is that Floyd being in the ring is definitely good for boxing. Therefore, I want him to come back as much as the next Floyd fan (nuthugger or not). If all went according to plan, I thought Cotto would beat Margarito, and that would be the reason Floyd would come back to the ring. Huge payday, insane ppv buys, Floyd comes back to his former glory in a fight against Cotto. This is what I thought. However, with Cotto losing, that possibility disappeared (cos undoubtedly Cotto would have been the bigger draw over Margarito). Now theres only one possibility for which Floyd will come back: By fighting the winner of DLH vs Pacquiao. If he doesn't come back for this, then I'm sorry to say he's really, really, really, done.

Yeah, but how long away could that be? If Pac gets his ass handed to him by DLH like I think he will, I can't see Pac fighting right away again or anything. I can't see Floyd being gone for that long and still returning... I'd say if he fights Oscar it will be mid next year. If he waits for the winner of Pac and Hatton probably late 2009 and early 2010. And he could easily come back after that long. Have a look at Leonard.

At one point I thought he was fully retired but some things I have heard recently make me think he will probably be back within a year fighting the winner of that fight or the winner of Pac-Hatton if it occurs. The money on offer will eventually prove too much for him to knock back I think. Yeah, but how long away could that be? If Pac gets his ass handed to him by DLH like I think he will, I can't see Pac fighting right away again or anything. I can't see Floyd being gone for that long and still returning...
