Did Iron mike have a iron chin?

tyson was only really ko'd once-busta duglass and it took a hell of alot of punches plus fatigue to put him down..lennox lewis..beat the shit outta mike and had to push a tired and battered mike down the mike quit..danny williams fight-tyson hurt his knee and quit..holyfield did hurt mike and beating his ass for 11 rounds..i wont even mention his last fight... Hulk co-signs. Generally Mike just didn't want to get up. I don't really remember him being insensible, mostly just bewildered and demoralized.

Douglas - 10 round beating with clean hard shots before a 5-6 CLEAN punch KO Holyfield - pounding with clean shots by an accurate and determined Holy and TKOed on his feet Lewis - beaten up by a 250lb man who has a great punch for 8 rounds before being caught with a monster right hand that would have felled just about anybody. Tyson wasn't out cold or anything, he just loses energy quickly post Holyfield Anything after Lewis, Tyson just gave up because physically and mentally he wasn't into it anymore. I'd say he had a very very good chin...his mentality usually gave in which caused him to take more unecessary clean punches where his chin held up only so much..he IS human...

Yes ! He took some great shots from some big hitters !

Early on in fights Mike's chin was fantastic. He could walk through ridiculously hard shots. However unlike Holyfield, Ali or Foreman he didn't have a very durable chin, his punch resistance tended to fade with his energy levels into the later rounds of fights.

yes he had a good chin...he was forced 2 fight lennox lewis on prozac & took an ass whippin for what 7,8 rounds. oh & lennox lewis is a bitch for fightin him on prozac! YEssir!!! Iron Mike 5'11 218lbs in his prime was knocking out everyone and anyone. He took some serious shots all his career and walked right through them. He took some serious punishment from Holy in the first fight and was TKO'd on his feet. Buster pounded him for 10 rounds and it was a 4 or 5 punch combo that finally put him down. he was in there with some big punchers Ruddock, Bruno, Lewis and when did get KO'd it was with combos and after several rounds of punishment. i don't even count the fights afe3r he fought Lewis cause he was already done with boxing by then. to me his career ended in the ring that night. yep..For me he was before those ruddock fights It was his chin and his sheer power that carried him on. He should'nt of had to even test his chin taking those shots from razor. And he was easy to hit in those fights as well

I think that mike had a solid beard especially considering he fights with heavyweights. I don't remember him getting koed with one blow, and that shows his durabilty. What do you think? deffo - mike was one tough SOB, he could take mombs from alot of other heavyweights, holyfield once remarked that mike was a real tough fighter as well. shame he wasn't as tough mentally - whenever he came across an opponent who wasn't intimidated mike showed that he didn't really have that courage or bravery. ________ MAINE MEDICAL MARIJUANA DISPENSARIES
