Kessler-Hopkins 170

Kessler is almost as one dimensional as Pavlik, so Hopkins would likley take him to school. Kessler isn't even close to being as one dimensional as Pavlik. I think there is a significant unknown quantity to this fight. It all depends on how much Kessler learned from his fight against Calzaghe. Unfortunately we cannot tell for sure at the moment as he is fighting can after can. If forced to pick a winner it would probably be Hopkins however I would make that choice with no confidence whatsoever.

One of the few guys out there I'd have significant doubts on Kessler, any other I think he does well. Yeah, Hopkins is one part defensive masterful boxer, one part brawler and all son of a bitch.

This is now, mind you, not a prime Hopkins. I got Kessler by decision, but it would be close. I think Kessler would win.

Bad style match up for Kessler. He'd do better than Pavlik, especially with his experience post Calzaghe. But he'd get slightly confused again and lose by a few rounds most likely. Close ish though. B-hop imo did beat joey-C scoring mishap He was also faking low blows to buy himself time since his stamina was dying out in the later rounds, so I won't cry Hopkins a river for claiming he was robbed. He robbed the fans from those fake lowblows. The punches Calzaghe landed were above his cup area. No room for that cheating shit in boxing. Oh, and he was using his intentional head butts, the same head butts he used against winky wright Also if you hear in the later rounds in Hopkins corner he is saying something to his trainer about his body hurting, so obviously joes body shots were getting to Hopkins. Or Hopkins poorly trained for the fight against Calzaghe(doubtful unless Hopkins wasn't smart)

Yea, I wouldn't be too sure on this either. I wouldn't be suprised to see either man win tbh, and it's a fight I would like to see. Although, I doubt it will happen :( Kessler is not gonna fight at 175 aslong as he can still make 168. It would be a stupid move, 175 are some big boys.

depends on which hopkins shows up. if the hopkins against kelly shows up, kessler gets mauled.

Kessler is a better boxer than Pavlik, with better technical skills - he has faster handspeed, he counterpunches more skillfully, and he throws more complex combinations. Kessler defeats Hopkins by UD. Kessler is maybe a better technical fighter but Pavlik has beaten better fighters, Kessler is quicker than Bhop but not quick enough and is still very stand up i think Bhop wins a close but clear UD
