Which referees did the worse job officiating a prize fight?
That dumbass Gary Coleman look-a-like ref from the Andrade fight takes the cake IMO.

This one is almost a no-brainer. Here`s my list of top corrupt boxing referees of the last 50 years. Before that, the majority were corrupt anyways.
1)Marlon Lewis (Bute vs. Andrade) doesn`t get any lower than this guy. He is like Bute`s best buddy or something.
2)Richard Steele (Taylor vs. Chavez, and many others) The most infamous ref of them all. He`s dirty, rotten and scoundrel. Always favors 1 fighter over another, and we usually find out during the fight who he favors.
3) Cortez ( Many fights featuring latinos) Another ref who takes many bribes, in english or spanish he is bilingually rotten.
4) Randy Neumann (Heavy-weight fights) This guy is dirty, fat, and ugly. He also spends alot of his bribe money on escorts and hamburgers.
5) Referee X (Tunney-Dempsey 2) Long count is one thing, but super-long no count is just plain ridiculous. Tunney was on the floor for 15 seconds, before getting up. After 10, you are knocked out! End of post.
The ref in Marciano v Cockell. The Rock hit Don everywhere, and with everything, without penalty. Cockell had a point deducted when he decided to respond in kind.
THIS IS THE WORST IN RECENT MEMORY
watch the referee help Joan Hernandez to his feet and then administer what amounts to a 17 count. THIS IS IN GERMANY OF COURSE
Which fight was this?

This is straight up bullshit.

i thought AA/Miranda 1 was some pretty bad refing
Another awful reffing job. Neuman should be banned from title fights. He ****ed up more than once. It wasnt even the point deductions. One or two may have been granted. It was him completely messing up the decision on the broken jaw. Abraham's corner was giving him medical attention for 10 minutes ffs.
I'm not firmilar. Fill me in?
I've heard something about Ad Wolgast, but I don't remember.

Enjoy :boxing:
The fight is in our videos section. It wasn't nearly as controversial as some people claim.
Lol how so? Ottke looked to the ref every punch that landed to bitch. Reid was robbed.

That link from T-97 earlier on this thread is to a thread I started about that fight.
Disgusting.
Nah....the winner is the Coggi-Gonzalez 1 referee.
That was equally bad, or probably even worse, than Jack Welch lifting Ad Wolgast from the canvas.
The ref got banned for life for his disgraceful behavior in Coggi-Gonzalez I, and justifiably, IMO.

This is the winner. By far.

Benn was hitting McClellan with a lot of rabbit punches. I recall a direct, deliberate hard one towards the end that may have done the damage.
Rabbit punches are illegal because people can suffer brain damage or even die from a blow to the base of the spine at the center of the back of the head. The ref just gave Benn one warning, he could have done more.
McClellan hit Benn in the back of the head a lot too. But no one focuses on that.
A lot of Benns shots were wild swinging hooks which just happened to hit McClellan on the back of the head as he ducked or avoided them. Attributing McClellans condition to Benn is extremely ignorant
If you don't count Reid kicking Ottke's ass and then not getting the decision, sure, it's not.
Add the KD being discounted, and the warnings/point deduction for Reid punching Ottke, the crazy bastard.

Bobby Gonzales in Juarez-Raheem. That was some biased bullshit and I wanted to reach thru the ****in TV and strangle him.
I'll have to admit, that was bad.
