So you're saying they should have kept their mouths shut and not question the ****ed up ending?????? Are you Bute's father or something????????
What he is saying is that Bute wasn't down for 20 seconds like the announcers were implying. The ref was protecting Bute, but he would have beaten a 10 count and likely lasted until the final bell. It just should have been handled a whole lot better.
By the way... This is one fight I DIDN'T have money on (had money only on the over).
If the ref had called TKO I would of been happy as hell for Andrade. What an awesome upset. But he didn't and the announcer's were making a big deal about the count and the time...it meant NOTHING, because the clock was finished within 2 seconds of Bute being down and he got up within 10 seconds...
All the other stuff... The ref disrupting Andrade's flow.... It's certain, and maybe the announcer's should of concentrated on something other than the time issue for 20 ****ing minutes. It had nothing to do with it.

If the referee had played it straight the finish wouldn't have been nearly as controversial, no matter who won. Bute clearly beat the ten count. The question is how much time was remaining, and if he could have responded satisfactorily to the ref. But using a Montreal referee makes this whole thing stink like hometown officiating.
Read above... :) I'm with you on the hometown disruption of flow there at the end...Certainly with a different ref it could of easily been Andrade's night.
Wish Andrade had did what he did 1 or 2 rounds earlier, I think he may of bagged it relatively easily.

Did the ref disrupt Andrade's flow?.I'd not disagree with that one bit.
But the announcer's saying he had a 24 count and all sorts of moronic things. He was up within 10 seconds and the round was already over within 2 seconds of being down, so there was no more fighting.

YOURE EMBARRASING YOURSELF BY THINKING HE WASNT KO'ed and shouldnt have been able to continue, even if he got up....
Continue what... He did get up.. within 10. And the fight was over.. Moron.
If the same ref who did Mosley-Mayorga is doing that match, Andrade wins by KO. That hometown ref was doing everything possible to break up Andrade's momentum in the last round.

You can NOT be saved by the bell at the end of the final round...he could not go on, Andrade did not leave his corner, this was a Class S Robbery
Even the count itself was off, Bute got up at 8...the ref starts the count initially for a split second at 4-5...this was hometown cooking, Bute needs to man up and rematch
Bolded, underlined and resized for everyone to understand what went on....
the whole point of the 8 count is to ensure the fighter wont recieve more punishment if he can't defend himself, there was no time remaining, therefore there is no chance of more punishment, all he has to do is get up which he did, Bute wins
He was still up within 10 seconds. And the round was over. End of story.
end of story my dick, being held up by the ropes is counted as a knockdown!!! that's the story. the fighter was out on his feet, and held up by the ropes. tko!!!!!!!!
Bute got up before 10. 10 real seconds or the ref 10 count. End of story.
not end of story. he was out on his feet. he wasnt looking at the ref. he had no idea where he was. you are embarassing yourself. **** bute and **** that retarded ref!

Getting up is only half the battle. Bute probably thought he'd just climbed out of the ocean on a beautiful deserted island in the Carribean; he didn't know where the hell he was. He was out on his feet, leaning against the turnbuckle.
He was still up within 10 seconds. And the round was over so it didn't matter whether he couldn't fight anymore or not. End of story.
No because he was in no condition to fight anyway and he was completely lost while on the ground. If he got the count, it should have been called off when he was up because he was in no condition to fight. He should have pulled a richard steele
