True or False? Prime vs Prime, I say Hopkins beats Roys ass, because him sticking his head out and baiting Hopkins would be a no no. Roy was known for his reflexes, I was never impressed by Roys defense in his prime compared to Hopkins and even fighters not as good as Hopkins in the defense department.
You really don't charge for sigs? Reed was charging like 100K wasn't he? Dude everyone goes on about how you hate Hopkins more than anyone else on the boards. You making me a badass hopkins sig for my gif would be f*ckin legendary. Hook it up brotherman, I can wait the week. By that timeline my bet should clear and enter my account at the same time as the hopkins sig is all done. Can you do it for me?
ok, ill ahve it when im not on super lazy mode....
Here's something you all might wanna see,Watch it and make what you will of it.
Roy Jones Jr And Bernard Hopkins argue after Bernard Hopkins won the middleweight tournament.

Dude had been calling out Oscar since he was a lightweight, I think he had an idea the fight was gonna turn out. Make me a Hopkins sig. I will offer you 2k!

well then, i was basing my response on you voting true on the poll then.........
but i still think nard didnt want that fight, AT THE TIME, Nard had no bigger thing to do...(it also helps that jones was superman, no one thought they could beat superman, no one)as he couldnt know that 2 and a half years later, oscar would say **** it and go suicidal.....

Against Ex ducking Roy? I don't see how BHop ducked anybody. My point wasn't that Roy ducked Bernard (yes I voted on the poll you got me there, but that was really for Zaggs turning down the rematch already). My point was that neither needed a high risk fight when the reward wasn't right. And I'm not just some BHop nuthugger. Roy is one of my all time favorite boxers, and I find it hard picking a winner. You have more nuthuggers on here than Bernard does.

but well agree to disagree i guess...
:friday::luvbed:
anyway i dont even dislike you spiegelo.....i understand you getting pissed at me talking trash on your fighter, but if you gonna call me out on boxing knowledge, just accept it when theres more evidence against your guy.....

You mean a full year AFTER negotiations took place between Roy and Hops?
And that second bold...Roy was AT heavy then because the Hops fight never materialized.
I wasn't talking about the initial rematch negotiations. That's already been discussed here, as they both felt they deserved the bigger cut from their accomplishments. I was talking about from that point on, where Bernard finished his middleweight reign and then needed something big from his controversial losses, and Roy gettin KO'd twice and needing something big as well.
yeah trying to hold on to some trinket belts(and he lsot one anyway)....of huge importance when youve already PROVED youre the best in the world and the division is unversally recognised as cleaned up(apprt from being shit)....
and not many people believed oscar was gonna fight nard, hoya started seeing nard in his radar a year and a half after nard had celaned up mw..not to mention he had already booked tune up and fight with mosley that wuld keep him busy for the whole 03.......jones was seeen as a much more viable fight all through 2002.....plenty of time for nard to say......im gonna do something worthwhile(maybe at a higher division to persue the jones fight) instead of fighting once and losing the momentum of the trinidad fight.

You can't blame Calzaghe for not wanting a rematch with Bernard. He beat him fair and square and Bernard didn't make the fight pretty. So why have a rematch? Just because we didn't get the outcome we wanted? It's not fair.
And Roy, he deserved more money. And I'd have to say Bernard knew he should have the lions share but deep down didn't really want the fight. That was still pre-damaged goods Roy. Now, I'm sure Hop wants him. But then, I don't think he did.

In the boxing world that is what you call 'mandatories'. Bernard was in a middleweight unification tournament. It wasn't 'lucky' that oscar got suicidal, it was a plan he had been discussing since '03.

Hahah you're just a hater who has probably never stepped in a ring. So then, at what point did you want Hopkins to move up to fight Roy? Oscar had been talking of moving up to middleweight and fighting BHop since 2003. Bernard had been workin on that fight for years, and Roy had been doing the commentary on his fights talking about moving up to fight at heavyweight. Bernard was said he'd fight him after he finished his business with Tarver, and unfortunately the unmentionable happened. So after cementing his middleweight legacy Bernard came up to beat Tarver and is now working on the rematch.
This sort of comment is just ridiculous.
Getting into a war with Hyperion is a sure path to embarressment and destruction by the way.

nard sure had other things to do from the day he chose to price himself out of jones, he needed to stick at 160 and fight such stellar competition as hakkar, joppy and allen :lol1:
like i said.......****ing LUCKY that oscar decided to go suicidal...

yeah...you already said that....but if you really were a boxing fan, you wouldnt have voted yes here....you're nard ball-chewer first, boxing fan second......no more proof needed...
......and ive already debunked your had other shit to do excuse....how about refuting that....

(not to mentio he lost huge momentum for fighting once in the year following the trinidad victory.....)
