Why do SOME yanks have such a vendetta against Calzaghe?

i liked and respected calzaghe until recently with all the stupid shit he's been saying recently by him and his dad and by what frank warren said about him. i've lost a ton of respect for him i'm really hoping rjj beats him decisively and takes away his 0

I dont think people have a "vendetta" against Calzaghe. It's just that they're not impressed with his competition. He's fought and beat some DECENT fighters but the way he talks he thinks he's some kind of legend. Don't get me wrong.. He's a good fighter. But I just don't agree that he's a great fighter. His resume is suspect. Now he's fighting and obviously shot Roy Jones Jr who in fact he said He'd NEVER fight and he admitted himself that Roy Jones was shot in his own book! If he really wants to prove his greatness why not fight Chad Dawson who is the man at lightheavyweight. Why fight Jones? A guy who just fought a bloated Tito Trinidad and couldnt even knock him out. Calzaghe is a god in his own mind. And I don't think Calzaghe should be mocking Pavlik for looking bad against Hopkins because Calzaghe looked HORRIBLE against Sakio Bika. Sakio Bika is no Bernard Hopkins. Everyone has an off night.

Do americans love black people more than white people? Ive got a lot of friends who tell me the exact opposite all the time. My posts I read dont hate on Joe personally he just gets more credit from some people than he deserves. I hear Roy get hated on all the time because he never fought anyobdy and look at his resume compared to Joes.

Now im not gonna be as narrow minded as alot of people on here are by judging people from the states all the same, as everyone has different views on boxers regardless of where they're from,..... But for the vast majority on these forums who 'Calzaghe bash' , it makes it so obvious how it fustrates u that he is undefeated, and a fair possibility he will beat Jones. Clinton Woods managed to fight RJJ, Tarver and Glen Johnson *3, it's a lot easier to like a guy like him who at least went out and challenged himself to find out the limits of how good he was rather than fight a bunch of middle of the road and past their prime fighters before proclaiming himself satisfied with the wonderful results. I think its more a case of RJJ, Tarver and Johnson managed to fight Woods.
