Anyone feel sorry for pavlik while watching the fight??? I really feel sorry for him especially at the end of the fight when his team all came out to fight hopkins, He gave a look of a man who knew he was truely beaten, I really felt sorry seeing that.
Anyone else???
To the one who started this thread, I felt exactly the same...
The look on Pavilk's face after the twelfth round just said it all.
I saw the interview video of Pavlik in the locker room here on boxing scene, I think he was about to cry before he answered his first question, right?
He shouldn't take it that badly. I understand he was probably in a huge state of disbelief, but he lost to an all time great, got a huge payday and still has his belts. This loss serves as a boost to his hunger while still allowing to maintain those belts that's made him a champion in the first place...:boxing:
i feel sorry for pavlik but at least he conducted himself in a professional manner. after losing the first half of the fight he didn't resort to swinging his arms in a windmill fashion to attempt to fool judges and make the fight awful to watch.
How can you feel sorry for him he got whooped shit happens you cant feel bad for every fighter who gets his ass whooped like that. He probably bought into his own hype and didnt train like he should have for the fight and its nobodys fault but his own that he lost.. So no deffinatley dont feel sorry for Pavlik maybe this opened his eyes and he wont get whooped again.
Feel sorry for what?
No one cared about poor gary lockett who was half beaten to death..
Beating so bad it made him quit the sport..
Ohhh so pav gets love and Lockett gets none?
i felt a bit. but the dude is a professional and anybody saying pavlik isnt a monster just cus bhop schooled him is wrong.
i like pavlik. seems like a quiet humble cat who has good fights. only abraham will be a threat to him at 160
I hate to meet the man who doesnt feel a little sorry when they see someone humiliated like Kelly was. Even if you dont like him, its hard to come back from that.
I wish he got knocked out but why would anyone feel bad for him? Anyone who does should suck him off while there at it. Hes going to come back a better fighter from this. He should be happy about the loss he took. Hopkins took son to school and taught him some lessons.
He should just clean up the middleweight division.I remember they were saying that Pavlik stepping up could f--k his reign and how he had the chance to be a great at middleweight.
Fukk no.
I'm not going to feel sorry for any fighter that buys into the bullshit his camp is selling. I saw the Countdown. Kelly was talking smack. And he got clowned.
I don't feel bad for that big, goofy, robotic Skinhead.
Common dios you have to feel a little bit of something there!!! Jack loew made Pavlik look bad with all the nasty stuff he said leading up to the fight but i wouldnt put that on kelly.
why? he's still middleweight champ and is still marketable. 1 embarassin loss isn't the end of the world.
Wlad Klit has been embarassed a few times and people still consider him the best HW (that is before Vitaly came back).
Yeah, he still has his belts at 160 but i did feel a bit sorry for him watching the fight thats all.
Yep, I didnt see the fight live so i couldnt get pumped up like you guys did, I already knew the outcome of the fight so i just had to watch everything in detail.
To me it was like early Christmas :lol1: I wanted B Hop to win so badly, and he did it so well I couldn't believe it :D
When I saw it live, I didn't feel anything. I was too pumped about the Hopkins win. But when I watched it again, I felt sorry for Pavlik there.
I hope he will learn from this and come back better then before though.

I saw that look but then saw the look on Hopkins face, that was something that erased any pity I may have felt for pavlik at the time. Let's not forget how badly people and the media have been dogging on old man hopkins the last couple years. He proved all of them wrong with a masterful performance. That's what I'll always remember.
But as that fades a bit and I come back down to earth, I do feel a lil bad for pavlik, but mostly because of how quickly some of his "fans" have turned on him. You're not a fan if you can drop your favorite fighter as soon as he loses. No you're a bandwagon fan. I've been a hops fan through all the ups and downs, and that's how I've been with all fighters. I still got love for Miranda and cant wait to see him fight, even though he may never live up to the hype he received. Boxing isn't always about JUST winning. It's a sport, it's entertainment and so much more.
I could imagine i wouldnt have been able to see the pavlik look if i was watching it live as well, The way Hopkins looked at the press row was definitely something else, And i love how he nearly lost control of his bottom lip in an emotional way that was classic.

Nobody put a fukin gun to his head and made him fight B-Hop.....
He made his bed and now has to sleep in it........
Its unfortunate he got his ass kicked from pillar to post BUT, this the path HE chose.....
I still like the Ghost and expect this to be a learning lesson in his young boxing life.....
He needs to learn to adapt and overcome....he didnt show he could saturday night, but hopefully the talk B-Hop gave him in the corner after the fight will be put to good use....i really do think pav will be a champ at 160 for a long time
Boxing isn't always about JUST winning. It's a sport, it's entertainment and so much more.
I think guys like Gatti and Ward proved this!
Yea, I am pretty dissapointed at how some Pavlik fans just jumped off as soon as he lost.
Fukk no.

lol, the stuff his camp was saying before the fight was a little crazy
yea, I feel sorry that he makes millions of dollars per fight, poor fuc@#@#ing thing.
Pavlik (or any boxer) put his life on the line. He deserves good money.
I felt sorry for the guy, but he should have known what he was getting into. So should Jack "F**king" Loew.
