Who's greater? Bernard Hopkins or Joe Calzaghe

Analise everything. Who has had the greatest career? Best wins, etc. to see some guys say B-Hop has the resume but Joe is the better boxer is bullshit! Joe is more entertaining to watch.....that doesn't mean he's the better boxer. If you guys judging by that gift Calz got in Vegas:lol1:then yall lamer than I thought. JT beat B-Hop twice by disputed decisions then lost to 1D Kelly twice, convincingly....but 1D Kelly got took to school by B-Hop, so sometimes them shaky decisions don't reveal the truth. Truth is Hopkins has faced and beaten the higher opposition, and Calzaghe has been down in his career more than Hopkins....that alone should open ya eyes.....I guess its geographics you guys dealin' with and not boxing logic.

I voted for Hopkins, but if Joe can beat Jones, and then maybe Dawson, then it would be very close. I'm not buying into the arguments that Jones is shot and a shadow of himself. Yes he is not the fighter he was 10 years ago but a win over Jones would still be a great acheivement in the light of Hopkins dominating win over Pavlik at 43 years of age. Maybe Jones can look something like he did pre Tarver, Johnson.

As a British man (I was born in the same London hospital as Big Joe) I am very proud of the fact that Joe Calzaghe has been a World Champion for well over a decade and that he has beaten the likes of Eubank, Reid, Hopkins, Kessler, Mitchell etc. etc. However, I have to say that Bernard Hopkins is far superior. He proved last night that he would "never let a white boy beat" him.

There's not too much difference in my opinion in terms of their overall record. Both guys spent a long time in a single weight class racking up defenses and fighting lesser opposition. Hopkins then had a couple of high profile wins over Trinidad and De La Hoya which Calzaghe was missing. There again would you pick either Oscar De La Hoya or Felix Trinidad to beat Joe Calzaghe? So let's look at it objectively: The same: Large number of title defenses against weak opposition A few outstanding performances against names late on in their career. Differences: Hopkins holds a couple of marquee name wins against opposition from lower weight divisions Hopkins has several losses including two against Jermaine Taylor Calzaghe is undefeated Calzaghe beat Hopkins I still say it's about even.

i am a big calzaghe fan...but it has to be bhop!! the man is probebly the smartest boxer alive!!! he can do so many diffrent thing in the ring!! and you have to admire how he changed his style as he got older!!! ok he is not as fast or as powerful anymore...but he has change in a way that makes him just as deadly as when he was 23...very impressive!!!!!!!!! p.s. clazaghe is still the best SMW of all time!!! IMO

hopkins has done everything in boxing that a fan could ask for. dominated a division. fought the best around his weight class even though they were risky fights. resurrect himself from the grave several times.

They're resumes have a lot of similiarities to be honest, biggest wins later on in their careers. Calzaghe beat him fair and square in a bad night for him, so he's a better boxer right now. I also think he'd beat him prime for prime as Hopkins did not have the ring intelligence, defence or countering he has now which were his greatest weapons. Hopkins wins post 40 over the LHW #1, Winky, and the MW #1 whom was undefeated and well favoured probably lends a more favourable impressive value to Hopkins over all resume though.

It's about even for me. I'm really impressed Calzaghe is still undefeated though. Init me 2..Thats what i give joe the most props for.. But jones may change that lol

I think hopkins is the better fighter and boxer, better defense, I think joe has really good foot work fast hands and a good chin.
