In all seriousness I've gained a lot of respect for Nard for this fight. He composed himself a lot better leading up to the fight, has stuck true to his beliefs, and shown everyone that he can completely school a top p4p. Furthermore although slightly patronising, his comments to Pavlik showed some real care for his future, and were valid pointers. I was impressed he did that considering they were rowing at the end of the final bell, and impressed Pavlik took it so well which is a good sign at least. A little lame Kelly's team wouldn't at least talk to Nard, I think Kelly needs to mix his training team up a bit because he wasn't taking on board what Loew was saying, their not quite on the same page.

yeah i heard the black thing too. I even heard it more than once. I didnt know he said he needed to train like a black boxer tho. I thought it was about him being black and odds stacked against him. Thats the only part I missed. What I did hear tho was that he told pavlik that he (hopkins) was a real dude and had respect for him. HE said he saw things on video of him while he was training that he knew he could expose and he needed to correct. Something along the line of the way he tried to set up and what he did to stop him. Also hopkins mentioned that know one at middle weight can be him and he needs to go there and dominate like he did and not to let this fight to destroy him. Fights in the crowds. Then Pavlik's guys going wild at the end. Reminded me of a guy getting beat up and all his friends come out looking for a piece of the guy that did it. Yes! I thought a Higher Learning scene was gonna break out. I am happy it didn't though, boxing doesn't need that.
