I haven't really been following the career of Danny Jacobs, but I though I was aware of boxing in general.
I watched this fight with my father and we were both shocked the this was the 4-0 guy that we saw on the De la Hoya-Forbes undercard what seemed like 2 weeks ago in perspective. 11 fights in 10 months? YIPES!
I began to wonder. Is Golden Boy exploiting this guy? Are they just pushing him and inflating his record so they can cash in as long as possible? Honestly, it seems that way to me.
Jim Lampley, mentioning his 1st round KO count gave me a bad bad thought ("shades of Tyrone Brunson").
Is it just a matter of time before this guy gets exposed? Thoughts?
That's awful.
I was one of the suckers who thought it must display some kind of skill to knock out a guy who knows your going to try and knock him out and all he has to do is run to unchartered territory of the 2nd round. Unless he was fighting the Andrew Hartley's of this world I thought it impressive.
It's alright but most of his opponents up to that point had losing records and only 2 or 3 of them have had over 20 fights, it's hard to say if he genuinely possesses great one punch power against those guys. And all of his opponents were either coming off losses or draws.
He was held to a draw in his last fight, it was only his second opponent with a winning record.
That's awful.

Jacob's is being very well managed. Top prospects should be fighting every month early in their career. And besides, Al Haymon is calling the shots for him, not Golden Boy.
No. Jacobs seems to have the drive to get to the top and used to fight all the time in the amateurs anyways. He's right where he wants to be now. Once he gets to 10 round fights I think they'll space out the fights more
I don't think so, his resume is already better than Brunson's, Brunson has only fought 2 guys with winning records and one of them ended in a draw, Jacobs seems to be pushed upwards slowly but surely with as many fights as possible.

Tyrone Brunson fed of bums in his first 19 fights
Jacobs has taken a step up in his last two fights,7-1 and 9-2-0,a very busy fighter
Man Dany is a extensive talent with a Great amateur pedigree, and is coming up somewhat like Tyson did but he's older and more put together, not as explosive but has the talent to resemble those results at his current weight... Word is dude is like a young Sugar Shane... OOH shit Sugar Danny Jacobs!
