LOL at the people that said Pavlik would beat Calzaghe

Pavlik would beat Calzaghe. First off all those guys you named would lose to Pavlik at his natural rate. Second off the Hopkins that was in that ring would beat Calzaghe. Yes Calzaghe may be tougher to hit so flush as Pavlik is but B Hop would get it done. Kelly isn't the same fighter at 170 and BHOP looks like a changed fighter. Don't get this shit twisted. I really hate people who make statements like Second off the Hopkins that was in that ring would beat Calzaghe Calzaghe wouldnt let that B hopkins come to the ring, How a fighter performs against pavlick does not mean that he would beat someone else on that night. For a start joe would throw back alot of punches unlike pavlick outworking hopkins, hopkins would need to hold more to stop the rate of punches like he did in the first fight, making the fight very scrappy, thus the fight being a very close margin like the last fight. In my personal opinion

I dont hate Calzaghe I just think he gets to much credit for so little in my opinion...I think the only reason Bhop lost that close splt decision was the fact he ran out of gas...Calzaghe is a decent fighter he just still has alot to prove to me and little time to do it in..

I am not having a go but you have never made a thread saying anything positive about a boxer other than WK, Calzaghe's win looks good in this light (and personally I believe he would beat Pavlik) but styles make fights. Pavlik threw less punches than in any fight I have ever seen him in. B-Hop threw more punches than he has in about 4-5 years. You cannot plan for the unexpected. IMO.

Pfffft. If Bhop outboxed and humiliated Pavlik, Calzaghe only does it faster. Pavlik is waaaay too slow and way too one dimensional for Calzaghe. Calzaghes ENTIRE GAME is adapting to the opponents style! He did it against a crafty hopkins (who happens to have very crafty defense and very sharp counterpunching ability), what makes you think he wouldn't be able to nullify Pavlik's one dimensional attack?

I cant see why people will not credit Calzaghe as being the p4p. Im sure if he was american then he would be hailed by the same people that put him down as the best p4p.
