gotta agree with you mate,Hopkins exsposed Pavlic !
I just cant fathom how Pavlic would be completive against Calzaghe !
And his fight last night against Hopkins compounded it for us!
Pavlic just dont fight well against crafty counter punchers, infact he didnt have a clue did he! ?
How could anybody possibly pic him against Calzaghe whos younger/fresher and moves even better then hopkins!?
Pavlic needs to go backdown to Middle and keep his feet on the ground!
He can beat most guys at middle probably all but when he gets in there with the top fighters who can move a bit then he is found wanting!
Joe would Lacy his ass
The weight is THE only excuse possible and even that isnt valid IMO, He got Owned by a better fighter - Im a Hopkins Hater and a Pavlik fan btw

I think it's funny how posters were saying B-Hop had absolutely no chance of winning, better yet, he would get brutally knocked out. My oh my, the tunes are changing now. I'm sure every excuse in the book will come out to justify the landslide butt kicking Pavlik just took.

My scorecard had Hopkins winning EVERY round plus the point deduction - complete shutout! Won some cash on this but still dont like em! :fing26:
I dont think the weight had an effect on Kelly either, he looked no slower than useual, cant say he didnt take his power up coz he didnt really land jack to confirm this and his stamina seemed there he just couldnt get his shots off because of what Nard was doing to neutralise him
The thing that has people questioning Pavlik is the fact that he was able to do absolutely nothing. Great fighters don't lose basically 12 rounds to nothing in such a fashion against anyone - he clearly has a long way to grow to be great.
Give him credit? All I heard was about he was going to be the first guy to KO Bernard Hopkins.
Pavlik was god awful, he didn't land ONE, not one flush shot.
I think we've always known Kelly wasn't the most athletic guy and slow. It was just that all the guys that fought him before tonight didn't take advantage of that. Bernard is crafty and smart as hell when it comes to fighting. He knew exactly what he had to do to win. His footwork made Kelly look uncordinated out there and he totally nuetralized Kelly's right hand. I mean who would have thought that he would would outworked Pavlik and because Kelly was so confused he couldn't get off with his usual amount of punches. It was just a remarkable performance by BHop tonight. I don't know if there is very many guys that could beat him the way he fought tonight. I think we've always known what Kelly was a tough big puncher with a high workrate that was slow.
i Agree, People Have To Respect Him For Taking That Risk Of Moving Up And Fighting A Man Who Is A Terrible Styles Matchup For Him, He's Only 26, There's Plenty Of Time For Him To Work On His Flaws.
Bullshit, He Took The Fight For Money. The P-dubb Fight Was In The Works, And He Went The Other For The Bread. He Get No Props For Taking The Fight. He Thought He Had An Easy Victory With He Biggest Payday. He Was Wrong, And So Was His Advisers. The Dumbasses Who Thought Kelly Would Knock Bernard Out. He Was Exposed, Exposed, Exposed For His Fundamental Flaws, Exposed For His Train Of Thought.
If Benard Was 10 Years Younger He Would Have Knocked Him Out, At Middleweight.
Good post, Pavlik is the best mw in the world at the moment, he took a big risk moving up in weight to fight an opponent who no one loooks good against. (He may have moved up for the wrong reason but with abraham already matched and his last defense against Lockett he didn't have much choice).
It didn't work out for him but he has lots of time to sort out his problems. I hope people don't criticise too much. Even though I am not a fan I respect someone who takes a risk.
A pioneer is only a person whos' risk paid off,

I dont think he got exposed since BHops style is troublesome to most fighters and even moreso to brawler types like Kelly. I was just suprised Kelly gave up and got discouraged, didnt throw.
I don't think he was exposed at all, most people believed that Hopkins' style would present a lot of problems to Pavlik, it was mainly because of his age and stamina issues that had people picking against him, Hopkins just put up a great performance, Pavlik tried his best but got neutralized like a lot of Hopkins' opponents have been.
And this may sound like an excuse but I think 170 had a big effect on Pavlik, he looked very sloppy in there.
