Yeah, that what I thought.
These internet warriors need to understand that a HOFER Olympic gold medallist champion in 6 weight classes would be able to kill you or give you brain damage with a few shots. Most likely fall unconscious head first into the concrete.
Also they think for someone reason, that a boxer has no clue at wrestling. If some tried to take you down from the legs, it would be natural instinct try to stop him taking you down.Stupid man, those people need to get a grasp of reality. A fight starts standing up, not in the ground, so they gonna wanna take someone like DLH to the ground, they gonna bum rush him, they gonna eat a nice left, and they gonna wake up 3 mins later with a baseball sized bruise.
Isn’t illegal for a professional boxer to use his fists in a fight, they are classified as a weapon??
I was reading about this Australia boxer and his friend who got jumped. When they were being attacked he didn’t use his fist because of the damage he could inflict and that they would have revoked his license.I have a friend whos in the UFC, and he says it's the same as boxing, it's not illegal, but he has a license, and if someone wants to fight him, he has to warn him and show him the license that he has consent to hit him as self defense, and if the guy hits him anyway, it will be considered self defense and he won't be charged. That's horrible though. The same friend once got in a fight with 3 guys, they tried to steal his Ipod, he ****ed them all up, but later got sued and lost the case for like $5000 in medical bills because he was not supposed to hit them and didn't show them the license.
By the way he told me this years ago so not all the facts about how it works could be correct.
Bottom line is, these little 140/147 pounders are little scoots of fellows and if you put them on the street with bigger men who can brawl they're gonna get killed
they may appear big on your TV screen, but in reality they're pretty small people
ok, is Hatton beating either of these two guys if they take him to ground?

no, and neither is Oscar
Those are (extremely large) professional wrestlers, and that's a whole different story.
how did the thread go from can de la hoya take an average joe 200 lbs in a 1 on 1 street fight to a 140 lbs man taking a 350lbs man ON THE GROUND?? you are seriously the dumbest fuc.k wit that ever appeared on this site
because street fights tend to go to ground. besides who's going to stand upright and trade with a world champion boxer? thats stupidity. you'd lose in that instance but if you wrestle you've a good chance of a win.
no because they each have well over 1 feet and 200lbs over him ...undertaker is billed at 330lbs hatton 140 ? thats sooooo unfair its not even funny ...and no one on this site is the undertaker or batista so ...no one on this site can take dlh in a street fight or hatton
Look at Hatton in the video when he shakes hands with Sculthorpe. Sculthorpe isn't the undertaker but he's bigger and stronger than Hatton/Oscar and could take his head off. I'm 270 lbs, so if I fight Hatton/Oscar is it a fair fight?
so is anyone going to answer this post? do you think Hatton could take either of these two guys if he was put to ground?

Oscar's skills you fu.cking dumbass relies on what is literally 1/3 to 1/2 of all of the sweet science called FOOT WORK which is something boxers train for 20 years since they are small children. If you think a pro boxer doesn't have the footwork to get out of the way of a big robotic rugby player charging and knock him out then you're a fuc.ktard. You obviously know shit about boxing or boxers, I can tell you've never boxed a day in your life because it's the uneducated arm chair morons like you that think boxing is just about throwing punches.
you think football/rugby players don't use footwork? I know rugby players more elusive on their feet than Oscar but they can still be taken down quite easily.

Charging at him? You seem to be describing the situation as if it's in a gladiator arena. If they're in the street standing face to face there will be no 'charge' there will be the big guy trying to gain momentum and get his hands on him and there will be one loud 'thwap' as the big guy's jaw is broken and that's that.
of course there's charging, if you get your head down and tackle with force both men go off their feet. The most chance Oscar would have is to hit a knockout blow as you run in head down but that would be next to impossible because you're running in so hard and fast.

Get off Oscars nuttsack, you're not on his payroll
your talking about a world class boxer here. you really have no idea what that means. first of all, a 140 pound open amateur boxer would probably wreck you, much less a pro, much less someone of oscar's caliber. he'd matador your ass so quickly, you wouldn't know what happened.
check hook son. ole!
whats a boxer going to do flat on his back on the floor. You guys seem to think a boxer can't be taken off his feet, this is ridiculous.
If oscar goes off his feet the following happens: (watch from 25 secs onwards)
oscar's skill as a fighter relies upon both himself and his opponent standing upright
how's he going to land a punch when he's got an 18 stones person charging at him?
you need to recognise a little guy like him is screwed when he's on the floor, picture Oscar on the football field, he'd be scared like a bitch at all these big guys coming to destroy him

Please man you keyboard warriors, the first left hook DLH lands even on your hands blocking your face he'll shatter every bone in your arms and skull and send you to the emergency room.

That is only a slight exaggeration and much more realistic than the fools here who think they can take a professional boxer because they weigh 240 lbs and are (allegedly) tough in bar fights.
case in point
at 6 mins 35 secs or so in this video Paul Sculthorpe comes in and shakes Hatton's hand. He's a Rugby League player, a big enough guy but not a giant by rugby standards.
Are you gonna tell me Ricky or even Oscar could live with him if he wanted to throw them about the place?
I could understand if you said Lennox Lewis or some other big heavyweight, but not these little guys like Mayweather, De La Hoya and Hatton
