Pavlik
small town, dead town with its lone market dried up, regular dude, becoming middleweight champ, still living a middle class life
this shit has disney written all over it
Kudos sir! It's about time someone said it. While I think one person is considerably more deserving of it given all he has done in boxing - if it was tonight, push play on the DVD player for: Kelly Pavlik "Our Favorite Son"
yeah i think so
who is the guy that has the scars on his face from the tribe initiation thing? I know he's african and he's darker than OUMA ....I can't remember his name.

I would like to see a Miranda movie, but Salvador Sanchez could be interesting, kinda like a gone-too-soon La Bamba type flick.
No doubt man i would love to see a Salvador Sanchez movie!!! Man my dad and me would be there at the midnight showing if they made it lol! our ****in idol!
Juan Manuel Marquez....his hard life, competition with his brother and sexual escapade in Japan. And not forgetting how he was overshadowed by Morales and Barrera.
Damn CHUPS you sure do obsess your thought with where JMM puts his dick all the time..... I'm starting to think your jelous of that japanese guy you always talk about. lol
J/K LOL
As much as his last stages in the sport are starting to make me really hate him and think he is tarnishing the sport he has helped so much throughout his career - ODLH has to take this one.
my bot pernell is not current but i would love to see a story about his olympic days, getting robbed in the ring, not getting respect when he was on top, his drug problems and all that good shit
jake lamotta
rocky marciano
rubin carter
A) None of those fighters are current (like the thread title says)
B) All of them have already had a movie made about them.
Bernard Hopkins, came from from a tough life when through prison. Lost his fight fight got knocked down twice against sub par Mercado. Then became one of the best Middleweight champs and defensive masters of this era then moved up to LHW at 40+ to school Tarver and beat P4P top 5 fighter with Wright.
that would be epic
who would play him tho?
Wladimir Klitschko.
There should be a movie about his amazing comeback after 2004. Everyone told him to retire after the Brewster fight - then he returns with eight straight wins, six by KO, and becomes unified heavyweight champion.
:lol1::lol1: Pathetic
What current fighter would you go see a movie about TONIGHT?
Matthew Saad Muhammad
Sonny Liston
George Foreman
Rocky Marciano
Billy Collins
Mike Tyson
Tommy Morrison
Salvador Sanchez
Benard Hopkins
Sonny Liston.
There's actually a movie to be made about him although I'm not sure how good that will be.
It wouldn't be a happy movie but the story about Liston's tragic life could be made into a quality film.
Bernard Hopkins worst enemy was and is his own weak character. From purse-natching as a youth, to armed robbery as a young man, to headbutting and making racist remarks years later...
I wouldn't want to see a movie about this man.
I'd go see a movie about him if it told the truth about him. Of course history would show that isn't very likely to happen.

You forget to mention that Winky had to put on hella weight to fight him and his best wins are against smaller men.
