PUERTO RICO's favourite son?

Apparently Cotto's following isnt strong enough. I see about 1/20th the amount of his fan boys as of July 27, 2008.

My personal favorite is Cotto, he has a good following in PR but it is nowhere near what Tito had.

Trinidad has always been PRs Golden Boy (no pun intended), but as of right now the focus is solely on Cotto's future.

Trinidad is. And I've said this before Cotto's loss. Trinidad was just more charismatic than other's. The heart thumping easy smiling and gregarious. Now that doesn't mean he is the best but hard to argue against him being the favorite son. Kind of like Gatti being New Jersey's favorite son (I know he's originally from Canada). There will almost certainly be multiple greater/better boxers that fight out of NJ but Gatti's charisma would make a more beloved NJ fighter a much longer reach and harder to attain.

Its still gonna be Cotto until JuanMa really hits the big time(fight with Vazquez). Once JuanMa is running his division his charisma will make him more popular than Cotto, even if Cotto rebounds strong.

Tito lost to Oscar and he knows that himself. Winky and Tarver are very good fighters. Look how competitive Hopkins is his age look at Tito now finished.
