Roach also said that if the Affliction: Day of Reckoning show had happened, Arlovski would have made his boxing debut on the undercard of The Dream Match between Oscar De La Hoya and Pacquiao. Arlovski has signed a deal with De La Hoya's boxing promotion Golden Boy and should be making his pro boxing debut next year. Both Roach and De La Hoya showed respect for Arlovski's boxing skills by saying that he definitely has the skills to go far in pro-boxing.
He took the fight on a week's notice, first round showed a lack of preparation
O yea right on. I know what your saying. I just wished he had finished him faster. I know he could have. The dude kept his guard so low, he could have endded it a lot sooner.
But the outcome was exactly how I predicted it. I look forward to seeing this cat in the boxing world. I have followed him for a long time now. I knew when he had Roach in his corner, good things would come....
Who do you want to see him in the ring with first?
Awesome news! I thought he took too long to KO "big country" last night, but other than that he looked good.
With his speed and power he will give ANY heavyweight problems because its crap division.
He's an MMA fighter with good boxing skills and I think in the shitty heavyweight division he will do pretty good. Only thing I question is his endurance since he normally only fights for 3 to 5 rounds. Not 12.

yeah the sparring video i saw of Andrei and Oquendo he didn't look that good.
still it'll be fun to see what Arlovski can do.
**wouldn't it be a good idea for Arlovski's boxing debut to be on the first MMA/Boxing card of 2009?
Andrei / Fedor is likely a January event... bigger money there than fighting a club fighter in a boxing match
I like Arlovski as a MMA fighter, he is powerfull, fast and good footwork, but I don't see him doing any serios things in pro boxing, he has glass chin, I doubt he can take a punch from a solid HW boxer. He can win some fights against some cans, but that will be all

Is he still making his debut on the DLH-Pacquiao undercard? If not, your idea is quite good.
So this means he's trying to transition to boxing, good luck to him, his technique needs much improvement.

Great news .. so he's signed 2 fight contracts .. 3 fight Affliction + this Golden Boy contract (will it make the bxingscene headlines yet?)
for any interested Arlovski is fighting in about an Hour or so on CBS .. MMA fight.
yeah, and the first time he looks bad in the ring it will ignite all the MMA hate that comes from silly boxing fans...
I guess Andrei just has to do Andrei
wwo thats awesome news. he has amazing hands. i think he will do a lot better in boxing. its better for him then mma. he will do wonders for the heavyweight division. watch him spring to 10-0 fastttt. then get some big fights
