i must be the only one who thinks Paul Williams is an ordinary fighter seriously what is he good at he has a high workrate and a decent chin and he has physical advantages in height and reach but apart from that he has a poor defence he is not a big puncher at all when you consider he is probably a 154/160lbs fighter he is not a very intelligent fighter either and he proved his limitations by getting his ears boxed off by Quintana first time around Williams is not a great Boxer either Perhaps.... you are correct....

Paul Williams is the most overrated fighter in boxing - he's slow - shit defense - blocks punches with his face - he's dumb - looks like a crackhead - can only be successful picking on smaller fighters at 147 - he might have some succes at 154....but he will be a FAILURE at 160 or 168.

** I've heard that before, but your case is weak. Ordinary is a journeyman with the approx even record. Wlliams is elite by his record alone. Don't recall anyone making him HOF great yet, but he could be if he fufills his talent. Anyone who can't see the formidable talent and boxing brain behind a young awkward Southern country boy from a region not noted for generally producing much more than journeymen. The way he took on Margarito and revenged Quintana which was a close honorable defeat the first time he was strong down the stretch in, if he can keep the discipline, he can really make some money, fame and secure that HOF spot. i stopped taking you serious when you said he had a Boxing brain :lol1:

I'm waiting to see more, because Williams keeps surprising me. He doesn't seem to be especially skilled or fluent, but he did show good speed and boxed a smart fight against Marg. I thought he'd gone insane when he then lost Quintana and tried to walk him down, because I was sure he couldn't punch, but then he comes back with two KO1 victories, which whatever the standard of opposition is pretty impressive for a guy I thought was feather fisted! I don't think he's anything truly special, but I suspect he might be able to beat all the other welters, which whatever he looks like is a pretty good achievement! did anybody see how Margarito was tagging Williams on the chin in the 11/12 th round of their fight and how Quintana was hammering him bang on the chin he lets his defences down like that against a real 160lbs fighter he is getting KTFO for sure
