Are Paul Williams fans on boxingscene overrating him?

Seeing alot of ridiculous comments from pwills fans like he could destroy pavlik, abraham, kessler, dawson, and tarver with ease. Ignorant comments like that when pwills fought the majority of his career at welterweight coming in to fights weighing like 163-164 at welterweight(he did this twice to my knowledge not sure if he did it more, once against Margarito and the other time was the first fight against quintana.) I think he takes some kind of stuff like guzman so he can make weight in the first place. Then he goes up to middle weight, kos a guy no one on this forum has ever even heard about until Williams ko's him. Who the fuck is Andy Kolle? And I don't see how koing Andy Kolle in the first round(as impressive as the knock out looked) means he can beat pavlik, abraham, kessler, tarver, and chad dawson. And his fans don't seem like there joking, they seem like the biggest nutt-huggers out of any group on boxingscene.com

At 147 or 154 I would favor on Williams over anyone. At 160 there are some big boys who should be able to beat Williams but that is not absolute. I do not understand how knocking out your last two opponents in the first round is seen as some kind of bad thing. Williams is a good fighter who has a lot of future ahead of him, who is to say what he will do with his physical gifts. He has flaws for sure but he also has many positive attributes. Good post. I just don't get the PWill hate.

Its just like before. He was RIDICULOUSLY overrated when he beat Margarito like he was the second coming of Mike Tyson, "he is unstoppable blah blah blah, Cotto and Marg are ducking him!", he gets EMBARRASED by Quintana and these muthuckers were NO WHERE TO BE SEEN. I don't even think Williams is that good. He will never be a marquee fighter in world boxing no matter what division he decides to box in. If he trades punches with a puncher he is getting knocked out, if he tries to outbox a technically sound fighter then he is going to get outboxed. His star will burn out eventually. Nice KO last night though.

Hahahaha.. Beat anyone from 160 to 175. No way he could EVER beat Calzaghe or Kessler! Nobody would say such a fucked up thing anyway.. Calzaghe would slap his ass silly, and Kessler would destroy him. As for overrating him, yes, his fans are overrating him. But there is always gonna be a bunch of lame fans that overrates fighters.
