Why was slick boxer Casamayor unable to outbox Katsidis but "brawler" juan diaz was..

Katadis fought a different fight against diaz, he tried to box instead of his come forward style which cost him big in the fight. Againt Casamayor he fought the right fight through most of the rounds before getting sparked.

Casamayor was regaining control of that fight anyhow. He looked terrible in rounds 4-6, but then regained control in 7, 8, and 9. Round 3 could have gone either way, but I felt Casamayor won it too. Katsidis's agression was good, but Casamayor was landing a lot more then Katsidis was.

Both Casamayor and Diaz outboxed Katsidis.

Katsidis fought a different fight against Diaz. Against Casa, he was basically going for the KO in every round which is hard for a Boxer to control, but Casa DID outbox Katsidis for the most part. The KD he suffered set him back. The momentum did seem to go in favor of Katsidis.

Casamayor was getting backed up and he was'nt really standing his ground he was getting trapped on the ropes because Kats was able to cut the ring down Diaz stood his ground more he kept the fight in the centre of the ring majority of the time but his back hardly ever hit the ropes

cause during the diaz fight Kat tried to outbox him which was a no no....at least when he was getting inside with cas he was able to do some damage....

Casamayor was able to outbox and outslug Katsidis...
