Sharmba Mitchell 5'7 zero knockouts in four fights at welterweight. 47 percent knockout ratio. All at light welterweight
Zab Judah four knockouts in ten fights at welterweight. 56 percent knockout percentage. Just about half at light welterweight
Carlos Baldomir thirteen knockouts in about 42 fights at welterweight. 21 percent total knockout percentage.
Ricky Hatton two fights at welterweight. No knockouts
This is not TRUE welterweight power like what Viva Mexico says. Not to mention these arent TRUE welterweights period. Well Zab Judah is the only one. But he was best at light welterweight.
Dosent this make you all think about how it plays out if or when MAYWEATHER tastes TRUE welterweight power?
Its not a Prime DLH punch.
It is no where what it was when he was at welterweight
still man, lets say it like this
im sitting at 135 now, if i work up for 147 and punch a guy who is still 135 no matter prime or shot. its gonna have more power, more weight to throw behind the punch. so Mayweather who fought DLH at 154 would handle a punch at 147 with ease, im not saying he won't feel it, its a punch in the face ur gonna feel it. but it wont crush him in one shot.
when was the last time he knocked anybody out??? use some plain and basic common sense WILL YA???
Mayorga, his oppennet before Mayweather, got KOd in 6. That was 1 year before, but is 1 year really going to effect your power much? I doubt it..

Question for you: Was Mayweather a true welterweight or was the defining part of his career even at that weight class for that matter? I'll help you. No, it wasn't. No he wasn't.
Your point is as retarded as saying "Has Roy Jones tasted true heavyweight power?" Should he?
Fair point on Oscar not stopping anyone recently but he does hit hard. And I thought he rocked Mayweather pretty good with a nice right to end the eleventh.
We really don't know how good Oscar is because he hasn't beaten anyone good in like...forever
Wow... way to K.O the thred so quickly. What a dumbass question he asked. May Fought a top middle weight who would beat many welters at that and then asks if he's tasted true welterweight power?*
And Zab judah is one of the top 7 hitters... just gets tired too quick.
-2 in the making sense area for you.
While the threadstarter's question is a bit silly...who was the top middleweight that Floyd fought?

I see you're following Viva's footsteps...What a dumbass thread!:asshole:
would a delahoya punch @ 154 be considered true 147 power?Wow... way to K.O the thred so quickly. What a dumbass question he asked. May Fought a top middle weight who would beat many welters at that and then asks if he's tasted true welterweight power?*

floyd tasted true super welterweight power ala DLH. its a moot point because floyd is retired, and no welterweight will be able to get through his defense anyways.
Its not a Prime DLH punch.
It is no where what it was when he was at welterweight
punching power is notoriously the last natural gift to leave a fighter.
Tell Mayorga that Oscar had no power.
Its not a Prime DLH punch.
It is no where what it was when he was at welterweight
tell that to ricardo mayorga then. Maybe now you can say something about de la hoya but he was coming off a six round destruction or ricardo and look to be at his absolute best doing so.
BTW de la hoya's power >>>>antonio margarito and miguel cotto's power
The thing is this....that even with their power if you think they are gonna land more than 5 or so clean power shots on mayweather then you are delusional.
Peaple should do a little research on Paul williams resume.. The man fought blown up 130-140 pounders his whole carreer... but not to get off subject. Mayweather never fought any serious welterweight.
I'm assuming that doesn't include Margarito and Quintana who is fighting at 154 in his next fight. In Williams next fight he is fighting a middlweight. So who are all of these "blown up" 130 pounders you're talking about?
