Yes. as far as I know he started Pro when he was 16. He didn't have the luxury to train as amateur because of poverty.
Pac didn't go through.. most Pinoy fighters I should say.

Although I appreciate the names, I'm just wondering how you do it.
If you mean why do they start as Pro instead of doing amateurs first, well 1 of the reason is prize money. Amateur won't let you sustain your family's living... also most of them are power punchers whom trainers are always looking for,its basically their only weapon in their starting careers, boxing techniques will just follow along with their careers.

Ahhh sorry, I misread it.
It's easy, you just apply for a Pro License. And get a promoter. If you havn't heard of him, look up Charlie Zelenoff. No am experience, total shite, but he turned pro. He quit in the 1st round like a little bitch, but he still went pro.
I'm not sure of the exact process involved though.
If you have a trainer and everything, how do you start a professional career without ever being in amateurs?
I've read that some boxers have done it.
Calzaghe never had an amateur career (unless you count his professional career).
