Hatton vs. JMM at 140

Hatton is actually a small light welterweight. Marquez would even have a reach advantage (67" to 65") and because Hatton is so easy to hit, and because Marquez has superior boxing skills, I'd pick Marquez by late stoppage or wide decision. Almost everyone has a reach advantage over Hatton, that guy has short arms but he's physically a big, strong light welterweight, I think we should wait and see how JMM will do against a physically imposing fighter at 135 first before saying he'd beat a very physical fighter at 140.

I'd go with JMM. Just way too much of a skill advantage for hatton to overcome. It would be a wide UD I think.

Unless Hatton is truly shot at this point and mentally broken, I don't see the diminutive JMM holding up against his power.

Hatton is too big and Marquez is damn small for a lightweight much less a junior welterweight. Hatton by KO.

Skillwise, JMM is much better but he looked small against Casamayor, Hatton is a relatively big junior welterweight, there are limits as to how far skill can overcome size. Hatton by knockout.

Hatton, just due to the size, weight, and physical strength. I'd have to see Marquez at 140 first against a B-/C+ opponent to get a feel how he would perform at the weight.
