After it appeared like the fight would be heading over to 2009, Showtime came through on Tuesday and made a deal with promoters Lou DiBella and Gary Shaw to televise the junior bantamweight unification bout between WBC/WBA champion Cristian Mijares (30-1-1, 24 KOs) and IBF champ Vic Darchinyan (30-1-1, 24 KOs) on November 1. The site had not deen determined. details]
YES!! I'm so glad this wasn't on the same day as Calzaghe-Jones.
mijares is the best mexican boxer there is. vic will get outboxed easily, maybe even put down a few times.
and if that doesnt happen...
Mijares will be KTFO and they will have to clean him off the canvas.
will be one or the other... CANT WAIT!
That's awesome if this fight is on Showtime. The more I think about it I think Mijares stops Vic late. Just on the accumulation of punches that I feel Mijares will be landing. Vic is gonna be chasing and missing shot's while Mijares rocks him with combos. I say KO11.
Oh come on NUTS you're the only one to be surprise on that day because Vic will be going to eat all the shit in there by pitting with Mijares. :loser:
and if I were you, better tell Vanes to start looking for a bigger fight soon so that your career will not be moving as a slow moving vehicles, because Vanes were unknown to boxing world NUTS.....
can you still remember what Vic say when he was about to fight Donaire.... VIC Said " I will KO Donaire" and who is the one send to dreamland is it Donaire or Vic. LOL
you dont know much about the ins and outs of boxing and the business/politics side... so dont worry much about Vanes and how his career is moving along.
He is 22 years old and (20-0)... his SEPT 19 fight is against a guy that is (18-0)
There really isnt much more you can ask out of a young prospect.
I got Mijares by clear decision or even possibly by knockout, Gorres was able to stun Darchinyan a few times, I wouldn't be surprised if Mijares would be able to as well.
VIC will surprise some of you folks come Nov 1st... remember that.

dick fartchynyan

bitch starchynyan
hick scarchynyan.......................:lol1:
buenas noches.
There, there don't you feel all better now.
Or the alternative, after vic beats up on Mijares he will knock out Montiel. Just hoping right now, but it could happen.
I personally would have liked vic to fight montiel who is less of a technician and more of a brawler, would probably have been an easy win for vic.
That's why Vic will be going to eat his ass on fight night because Mijares will going to make Vic a crazy bull because when fight night comes Vic will be having hard time on how to hit this dancing mijares all night....
Vic vs Montiel is much better for the style of this Raging bull from Armenia....
or A. Munoz vs Vic a much better option becasue Munoz was beaten by Mijares by UD.
Brawler vs Puncher this will be a KO win for Vic
But a technical Boxer vs Puncher.... well I doubt Mijares has the edge of this fight all night on Nov. 1.
:hitit:
Mijares doesn't exactly carry a lot of power, but there is such a talent and technique disparity here that I have a hard time envisioning a fight where Vic doesn't get stopped. I wish he and Arce would get together before even more luster is taken out of the fight. I've got Vic by mid round KO in that one.
Am I nuts in thinking that if Mijares has an outstanding performance and Pacquaio doesn't beat De La Hoya, Mijares would have to be the consensus choice for fighter of the year?
He'd have to be.
I mean according to the ring at the begining of 2008 he was ranked #31 pound for pound in their top 100 poll.
Then goes onto beat:
Jose Navarro: Good contender and challenger. Always comes up a bit short, but gave Kawashima a tough fight who gave Miajres two hard fights.
Alexander Munoz: WBA champion coming off wins over Nobou Nashiro, the conquerer of his conquerer, a tune up, and then Kawashima in a very exciting fight. This fight he looks exceptional and gains him entry into the top 10 pound for pound. Second unification fight at 115 ever and first since 1997.
Chatchai Sasakul: Easy tune up here.
Vic Darchinyan: Coming off a dominant win over IBF super flyweight champ Dimitri Kilirov and what should be a win over Z gorres. Got knocked out at 112, but proved he belongs with the top at 115. If Mijares wins, he'll be the first ever in the lower weight classes to unify 3 titles.
Other then Pacquiao if he beats De La Hoya I don't see why he shouldn't be fighter of the year. Sure Margarito beat Cintron and Cotto, but I think Mijares edges it out.
