I say Ibeabuchi takes it. Huge slugfest, but Ibeabuchi's chin and super endurance would win it for him.
also request tua vs. ibeabuchi, looked everywhere for it cant find it
This would be a very interesting fight. At this time Tyson was an exceptional talent, and was training very hard under the guidence of Kevin Rooney. He would IMO be able to go the full distance much eaier and at a better pace than the post 1990 tyson. Althought Tua and Tyson are similar tyson was faster and more dangerous with both hands. At this time tyson moved his head alot and stayed low so it would be a much harder target for Ike.
As for chin yes tua had a better chin (not many heavies have a better chin that him) but tyson only gets KOd when he his being hit constantly. At this time tyson was a very elusive fighter and so it would be hard for me to see him being hit as oftern as the holyfield, Lewis, Douglas fights. So Ikes large amount of punches could act against him with a weaving tyson and help find more openings.
Mentality is always an issue with tyson, but with familiar and friendly faces in his corner (Rooney, Lott, Baranski) it could be possible that they hold tyson together. He may get frustrated but would stick to the game plan.
I would have to to with a Tyson UD or possibly Late KO.
Mike in his prime would have won a UD against Ike imo he would be just to fast for Ike, I think the post prison Tyson, Ike would have a very good chance of beating.
Ibeabuchi was one tough mofo, he had a hard head and a solid workrate, but the Tua fight is a bit hard to use as a reference point because Tua really hasn't got much head movement at all, and so it's a little different when fighting Iron Mike who is coming at you bobbing and weaving, throwing looping punches as well as stiff jabs and uppercuts, not to mention bodywork. But it'd be a difficult fight for Tyson to win, purely because Ibeabuchi doesn't go away and he fights very hard. I think Ike could hurt Mike, I think Mike could hurt Ike too but ultimately I think Mike is gonna throw more punches and make Ike miss, and missing punches takes a lot out of you, especially when coupled with the fatigue of getting punched constantly by Mike Tyson in his peak, a phenom.
He wasn’t prepared for Buster and wasn’t at his best at that fight, and was getting hit very easy due to a lack of training while resulted in a TKO which Tyson took his time to pick up his mouth guard and the fight should have continued.
:nonono: he was out of it , flaw!
how many times have you seen tua hurt or on the floor?
tyson is better than tua. he is greater than tua. that doesn't mean he has a better chin!
Tyson got KO’d by Buster simply because he didn’t train. The other fights he lost were merely a that fact he was past his prime and it took tonnes of punches to finally put him down, the reason he was getting hit was he changed trainers and forgot about using his speed and focused more on just one big punch.
what does training have to do with chin?
Why do you talk about chin all the time Tyson has been KO was by Buster when he didn’t prepare even and after he went to jail and took fights when he was way past his prime. Tyson at that stage of his career was a beast and was even agile and would have KO Ike or UD. Tyson is way faster than Tua and a smarter boxer
tyson was in good shape as always for the buster fight , flaw. all that didn't train nonsense was excuse to why he lost.
tyson has a very good chin. difference is he can still get koed while others are impossible to ko.
no one ever said tua was better than tyson. where'd you get that?
tua just has some things that are better than tyson. mainly chin and durability.
I definitely agree with Tua being FAR mentally tougher than Tyson with better stamina, but Ibeabuchi beat Tua by unanimous decision. Its always 115-113 every time i watch it. He came on late when Tua came off of the gas pedal. He also out threw and out landed him as well.
Something that should also be considered is the fact that Ike only had about 15 fights at the time he fought Tua and about 19 when he fought Byrd so he was basically a green contender fighting ranked fighters that had over 13 fights than he did, like Tua was about 28-0 at the time. Byrd has a similar record if i am remembering right.
i think tua pulled it off. ike landed more but tua hurt him more.
all depends on the type of judge.
Oh, I agree with you my friend. and I would argue that the exact same thing could be said of Ike. Peace.
mike looked invincible at one point.
ike was only undefeated because tua was robbed! :D
tua beat ike (yes. he beat ike dammit!) through his toughness and chin though not skill.
tua can take punishment better (better chin , cut and swell less as well as take the punishment better mentally) than tyson.
who's to say mike doesn't get battered , bloodied by ike? i don't think anyone can blow out ike in a few rounds.
prime tua was also better in the late rounds than mike. how would mike handle a fight where ike threw 80 punches a round?

i'm not saying tyson won't win it.
i'm just making arguments for ike.
mike tyson is tough to figure. i doubt we would ever really know how good he really was.
he wasn't invincible though. only his comp made him seem that way.
Oh, I agree with you my friend. and I would argue that the exact same thing could be said of Ike. Peace.
Ibeabuchi was the only one to ever stop a prime Chris Byrd and in the fashion that he did it, Tyson has never done that to an upper class opponent. Tyson was a very hard puncher, however Riddock Bowe stopped Holyfield and Tyson landed his best stuff on him and couldn't even stagger him. I think people overrate his power a bit, just my opinion.
i think mike's power is up there with the best of them.
ike had a good power but i don't think it's as good as mike's.
i dont know man...Mike at 20 was still a specimen...i probably wouldnt bet but if i had to, i'd throw it on tyson...he was still dedicated to his fundamentals at the time...
any other version of mike gets destroyed IMO but at 20, its tough to see it
How would Ik handle a fighter who not only was faster and hit harder than him, but would also make him miss most of those punches? :)

i agree with everything except the "as hard a puncher" part.
tua hits harder than ike and tua is at best equal to mike.
ike had pop but he wasn't at the same level as tyson or even tua.

Im big on Ike, i am, always biggin him up on here but lets be real he is goin to sleep here, Mike Tyson at 20-0 would rip right thrugh him, this aint david Tua, following him around, taking shots and landing some back (albiet in a great fight) Its prime Iron Mike a fuckin Whirlwind of pain!!!! So fast, elusive and cuts the ring off quickly not to mention puts his punches together better than Tua and has better power IMO, Ike as good as his chin was got hit a bit, against Mike it would be ALOT which dont bode well for him! Also he didnt have near the fire power Tyson did
at 20, Mike was still bobbing, weaving and throwing combos...hard to bet against that...
ike was awesome but he didnt have the specific tools that are needed to beat tyson ie. long jab, tall, ability to lean effectively
ike had a good jab. buster is no bigger than ike.
