Nah it would play out this way Both would knock each other down in the final round like a scene out of rocky 2 only Gatti starts to rise slowly Hatton cant move cause of the sheer weight of the fat fucka so he has trouble moving then in the crowd out of nowhere comes a shining light Someone holds up a kebab and chips and Hatton is up faster then ron jeremy on viagra while Gatti sinks to the floor and the winner by way of a kebab and chips Richard Hatton.... I had the PS# play this one out again last night and Gatti was taking it to Hatton in the first few rounds. He put Hatton down in round 3 but Ricky came back in rounds 6,7,8 and put Gatti down 2 times and finally KO'd him in the 9th. I would've loved to have seen this. Gatti is a favourite. You know, the guy, he left his guts in the ring. I dont think theres ever been a fighter who has displayed as much heart as him. In that rd 9 of the first Ward fight, man, 99 per cent of guys would've beaten it outta there, those body shots were crippling. You can pretty much call Ward Mr. Body shot. But anyway...Hattons a little different, he can box too and generally he sets up his attacks with leaping jabs and head movement, going in a sort of curving direction off to his right or left before coming in with that jab or maybe a left hook. That movement makes him more difficult to tag, whereas Gatti could pretty much rip off combos on Ward like it were a punching bag moving into range. I think a lot of people underestimate Hatton as some kind of meatbag who goes forward with his face. It's a misconception. I think most people probably haven't even watched a lot of Hatton fights, the Tackie one, Oliviera, even Tszyu though that was more brutal and less polished a performance, but kinda necessary as Hatton had a plan to stay on KTs chest and set a high workrate... Basically I think Hatton with his head movement and his quick moves inside, I dont think he gets tagged enough for Gatti to do any significant damage; I mean, I think sure Hatton gets hit a lot by normal standards, but he doesn't get busted up bad, and when he's inside he rips body shots and hooks into Gatti, out working him; not letting him have room to punch. It's a tough one. Gatti could box beautifully too but Ricky Hatton being physically stronger I see him as having the advantage on the inside and I think that's where much of the fight is contested. Did you forget DLH??? The fight was at 147.. NOT 140.. Don't get it twisted ------------------ I'd say that if McGirt and Gatti came in with a gameplan to box and not brawl hed win a decision.. Much like Gatti Ward 2.. Hatton hasn't been in with big punchers at 140.. EVER.. Got cracked by Collazo, Mayweather and a old Lazcano.. I would expect a KD in this fight with Gatti being a winner of a UD

After watching the Gatti vs Ward epic..I have always wondered what would havehappened if these two met @ 140 in the primes......I have seen Gatti take some brutal punches and come back raging to KO his opponents...I have also seen Gatti step back and box some and win on points.....Hatton has that mauling move forward style and never stops punching leans clinches and goes to the body.....I truely am tossed up on who I would put money on if they had fought in their primes......I even once had the computer (PS3) go head to head sat back and watched with a pint in hand and enjoyed an 8 round KO for Gatti.......i still wasn't sure ....what do you guys think? I don't think there's any decent reason to pick Gatti. Hatton by stoppage.

Gatti would make it interesting for a few rounds because Hatton is and always will be hittable. In the end he'll be too strong and fast for Gatti. Hatton TKO 8.
