Do you consider Floyd a All Time Great Welterweight?

Considering his biggest fight at the weight while still at there peak was against a guy that was a blown up 140 pounder in Ricky Hatten. Oscar was not the same fighter he was back in the early 2000's and that fight was basically for the money. Im not saying he couldn't beat the top Welterweights, but he didnt fight them and give them a chance. Should he be considered a great lightweight, but not necessarily a all time great welterweight because he didnt prove himself in the division.

he beat an old ODLH At 154. He's not an ATG Welter, Lightweight he is. Welter and Jr. Welter are weight classes that he has the potential to be an ATG.

Rankings as always are based on actual accomplishments and not on potential or ability in fantasy matches. If we just base it on pure speculation and natural talent then RJJ would be the Greatest Of All Time. Resumes are not the be all and end all on what a fighter is capable of, just because a fighter did not prove something means he is incapable of doing something. What truly happeans is most important though.

Margarito and Cotto will probably never have the kind a payday they would have if they fought Oscar. I dont think fighters look at Oscar as a fight that will secure there legacy like had they fought him at the peak of his career.

Not even close. I do consider him an ATG in general, however. But his Welterweight campaign was probably his weakest.

Floyd will be an all time 130 lb fighter before being an ATG at LW, JW, or WW. One thing we can say for sure is, Mayweather is an ATG. Forget who he "ducked" at Welterweight blah blah. He is an ATG :boxing::boxing::boxing:

He is in a sence that i think he would give the very best welters of all time a lot of problems fighting him and he could beat his fair share of these top welters. For who he beat at welter then of course no, but there are many ways to look at things.
