What are some of the best/most memorable staredowns in boxing history? Let's get them out there. I'll start it off with an obvious one: Hagler-Hearns. I expect some Pryor fights to get a mention for certain.
jones vs. tarver II, even though i'm a roy fan. it was just unexpected that Tarver would say, "got any excuses tonight roy?"
and it was more unexpected what transpired minutes later...roy jones jr. koed for the first time.
damn it you beat me to it!!!

I recall seeing clips of a Pryor staredown against a taller black fighter where Pryor is literally shoving his face against the opponent's. Pryor was shorter so it looked like he had to reach to pull it off, but despite the awkwardness it appeared intimidating rather than goofy because he was so intense, he was not messing around.
I would certainly choose it for funniest, I actually laughed aloud when I first watched it (the fight itself could fall into this category as well). McNeely was so goofy looking; I'm not sure if it was overconfidence or bravado but we all know what happened...
Yeah, that was my thought too, McNeely looked like Goofy, then you got Tyson looking all serious flexing his jaw and everything. Classic.
Tyson-McNeely.
