What would happen if a Prime Vitali Klitschko fought Sam Peter today??
Vitali by brutal KO
Vitali would have Peter doing the chicken noodle soup all around the ring

I still think Vitali will beat Peter, but he needs to rush him in the first round.
People sounding like Vitali was some untouchable force when in fact if he didn't get the job done early, he looked vulnerable. He'd have stopped Peter but late and by no means easily, Peter ain't no Herbie Hide or Levi Billups.
If the same Vitali that fought Lewis (yeah, I know, Lewis won that fight, but if you remember....he wasn't interested in doing it twice, was he?) stepped into the ring against Peter....well, I think Sammy boy has improved by leaps and bounds since I first saw him years ago against Jeremy Williams, but he'd end up being beaten down badly. I think it would be short work, and over before the end of the 3rd, but it could've gone late, I suppose, though unlikely in my opinion.
Vitali was never untouchable...I think everyone he's been in the ring against has tagged him at least a time or two, but his chin is about as tough as any heavyweight I've ever seen. He's caught huge flush powershots from Lewis and Sanders, and those two boys can bang (Sanders especially). If they didn't put Vitali down, he isn't going down from anything Peter could throw. And that being the case, I think Vitali would've waded in on top of him like he did Johnson, and make an early night of it.
All this is just bullshit supposition, though...nobody could ever know, and I'm not about to get into a pissing match in an attemp to get anyone to believe my opinion is the right one. I'm pretty good at seeing things like this in my mind, and I'm right far more often than I'm wrong, but that still doesn't mean shit in fantasy matchups like this.

Vitali is still the superior fighter...He is gonna KO the rabbit puching cheater, Sam Peter.
Haha, I liked that one dude, you managed to mix some rhyming in with the usual structure.
In all seriousness though I think there is a lot of uncertainty involved in this fight. Noone really knows how Vitali is going to go. He is old and has been out for a long time.
I think its fairly safe to conclude that the forum percpetion is that Vitali was the superior fighter.

ok,,,,now I clearly see the problem....lol. btw,,,any white fighters you dont dislike?
Is that what the deal is? I kept going back over his posts in this thread trying to figure out what it was about Klitchko that burned his ass to such a degree that he couldn't speak without being so biased. I was going to actually respond to him, but after seeing such bias, I didn't see a point to it.
But there's still a whole other focus if you are prepping to fight the world champion instead of some showcase opponent. This includes working on different things, sparringpartners with the same frame as the opponent etc.
Point is that Vitali could have been better prepared as well as Lennox could.
maybe.
but i doubt vitali could've fought any better.
vitali is a good fighter but lennox is in a whole different level.
He was about to get knocked out by a past his prime Lewis and was cut beyond recognition. Vitali is not that good as you make him out to be just because he gave a past his prime Lewis a challenge.
Lewis could of brought a baseball bat into the ring he still wouldnt have KO'd VK the iron chin, vitali was dominating Lewis, and Lewis would of been the one KO'd had the fight not been stopped
vitali was already in training.
he was suppose to fight on the undercard of lewis-johnson (i think it was kirk)
when kirk pulled out they made it lewis-vitali.
all they did was changed opponents. vitali always trains hard no matter the opponents. lennox would've probably been in better shape if he knew he was fighting vitali instead of kirk.

Of Course Wladimir won that fight Peter was green. But now it would be much closer affair by Wladimir winning a SD but being knock down 5 times.

But that wasn't exactly a prime Vitali either. He took the fight on about a weeks notice.
